I didn’t realise that the livestream quality was the same as the SSD recording. From experience ( correct me if I’m wrong) it was better to have a low stream rate on my live streaming from the ATEM but if I’m recording as well then my recording will be lower quality?
brilliant! so after seeing this, i tried to do some network recording from a hyperdeck HD Plus to a shared folder on a Win11 Laptop. recording works like a charme! BUT: i cannot import the growing file into Resolve or Adobe Premiere.....Resolve does not see the file in the folder, but its definitely there! also, i cant open the growing file in any App (VLC). what could i be doing wrong or missing? would love to build a simple replay station with just de hyperdeck and a laptop.
I really want to like this but I hear the software interface of QNAP is awkward and difficult compared to Synology. It also has a history of being insecure. What has been your experience with the software?
Hi Alex. I purchased the HyperDeck Shuttle after watching your video. You say in this video to export it out as a "Progress file" 6:34 to get edited video to play. What does that mean? I cannot get edited videos to even be recognized by the Hyperdeck shuttle. In addition what Black Magic Design does not tell you is you MUST purchase specific equipment, from an approved list of equipment that is buried in their website somewhere. You'll need specific approved high speed expensive Disk and a Samsung TR7 or other approved media from their hidden list in order for it to work. Plus you need an additional monitor to incorporate it into your workflow even if you have the Black Magic 7" monitor already. So buyer BEWARE. You will need to buy hundreds of dollars of equipment just to get it to do Live record and playback... and they will tell you that the product is unstable and may or may not work at all for playing edited video. So Alex, can explain what a Progress file is and what settings are needed to get the HyperDeck Shuttle to simply play back an edited video during a Live webinar. Thanks! KEV
Hi alex I have the atem mini and I wanted to set it up through obs I tried to do this following your video but I'm getting nothing at all ? 2 webvam cameras and a soundsource from my dj controller but no sound and no picture? If I use the webcam on there own and my soundsource direct into my laptop all work fine! Obviously it must not br setup properly but I'm not having any luck at all....can you help? 😢
There must be good servers in the UK for it to work. The Servers offered by Speedify in Australia bottle-neck the data for streaming, making it slower then just using one internet souce. I actually purchased Speedify because of your video praising Speedify. Paid for a 2 year plan for nothing.
I have a number of questions. Such as edits done potentially same time. Not yet uploaded seems to be there could be split brain effect especially if it’s transparent on applications used.
I don't see the Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 360P listed as POE++ on their website? In the video you said this switch will send power to connected devices?
Hi Alex. Still experimenting with the Hyperdeck Shuttle HD. Was wondering if it could be used as an interface/controller for the Hyperdeck Studio HD Mini. It's buttons are easier to see/use than the ones on the front of the Studio HD Mini. Is there a way to get them to work together?
So I synced a project from my client's pc and after editing on my pc entirely I wanted to render it out for my client but it says the files are offline. It only renders when I open the project in client's pc. Need help.

Hello, greetings from Honduras, have you heard about an issue with the autofocus beep in atem mini setups and blackmagic studio cameras? I ask because i went to an event yesterday, about my third time using my setup BMStudio 6k pro and atem mini and upon checking my final result video i hear a pretty constant autofocus beep that in my previous videos is not present, thanks in advance i look forward for your reply
Can anyone comment on how well the StudioPro 6k would match with the micro 4k G2 in a livestream environment? How similar would the images look between these 2 cameras?
The reason it didn't extend the entire Camera 5 clip into the multicam sequence is because the clip had a Mark In. Same thing happened to me in a project but it was fixed by clearing all In and Out points prior to making the multicam clip.

I want to start learning Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects can I log onto LucidLink and 100% work there (no pinning). I dont have laptop/desktop? I dont have spec to run Adobe apps on my laptop
Hi Alex, with the latest release of ATEM 9.5 which now includes instant replay connecting to Resolve as a cheap software based solution - can you please produce one of your excellent tutorials using this approach rather than the method using more BMD hardware? Cheers, John.
