I just hate how awkward it is to drive of slowly in gear 1. Can't move off fast without stalling the car or let it have a seizure before it stalls😂 especially when everyone drives a diesel or an automatic car
I just passed my test a few weeks ago. I just got a brand new car (24 plate) which i absolutely love driving but really struggling with moving off and getting used to the bite. The bite is much higher than what im used to, i learned in a diesel car and could move off without any gas atall on level or even a slight hill. I have the manual parking break in my new car, so would i be ok just to practice finding the bite with my parking break on to get used to it without damaging my car or causing excessive wear? Im sure ill get used to it quickly!

I know that if you see this white circle in any point in the Germany's autobahn, then there's no speed limit, you're free to overtake and generally all local prohibitions are lifted. Of course, this doesn't mean you can do whatever you want, you can just go as fast as you want, overtake, not caring about the weight or height of your vehicle etc, but you are still not allowed to undertake, stop in the middle of the autobahn, reverse and do other stupid things like those.
I used Alloy Gators on painted wheels and they were fine, but they do damage diamond cut alloys even if you do not curb them. This is because the gator moves around and scratches the lacquer over the metal. When I curbed my last diamond cut wheel,.I decided I was going to buy a set of other wheels for my Leon Cupra. I decided on some nice mattish black team dynamic Imolas. These look great and have taken a beating in the last 6 years! When I have curbed them (and I do my best not to) I just add a bit of black paint with a brush and they come up nice. The best thing is that I am now selling the car and the original wheels are mint, this recouping the entire cost of the replacement set, which I can now sell on! So,.if you have diamond cut wheels,.don't use Alloygators; they won't be offended by me saying that, as they are very upfront about saying that they don't recommend you use them,.for that type of wheel.
diamond cut wheels in the uk will all ways be white worm within 6 months because of the weather my alloys have had gaiter protection on for years but there powder coted .use clear silicone on inside of gaiter to seal from salt and dust

I’m thinking about doing my Pass Plus but not sure about how much help, if any, the instructor gives. You are giving Ari quite a bit of instruction, is this what I would expect if I decided to proceed? Or does the instructor just give change of direction instruction
I had the same gear change as this guy, going through the hole gear box every time I slowed down, it was a hard habit to get out of and I still feel the urge to go through the gear box sometimes and have to think a bit to stop myself doing lol

I know this video is old, but im so glad that i came across this. Passed my test last week and will be driving my new car next week. My instructor showed me almost everything apart from filling up which left me somewhat nervous. I didnt want to look like a fool my first time filling up. I want to thank you so much for taking the time to show everyone who came here to learn this task. You have literally saved my skin and explaining the difference between petrol and the other. 20:00 changing lane ? no need for changing lane and then second after at 20:15 he is indicating left to return back to his normal position where there was actual turn left .. there should not be change lane and not indicator - so 2 driver faults for awareness and planning
Front bay park is the bain of me i hate it. Can reverse bay park and parrallel easily but front bay park i hope i dont get it on my test. Il try this reference point next time.
I had a driving test dream last night but it was a more boring one, in the dream I was like 'well, at least I know I failed my test yesterday' then I thought for a moment and realised 'wait, I'm in a dream and my driving test is when I wake up...' at the very least it taught me that if I fail, I'd probably not freak out about it
The way you said 'I won't be asking you to do that again' after the emergency stop made it sound like the manoeuvre was terrible and you don't trust her lol

Sorry Matt but I’m concerned about you taking your eyes of the road so often, especially with your daughter in. Would I pass my test doing this? You also seem to have a too relaxed driving attitude in this clip. Maybe a camera set up in a different position. Having said that I still think yours is one of the best driving channels on youtube. Would be interested in your comments.
I hate roundabouts (these and the test center one in particular) so I wrote a transcript for myself with screenshots so I could read them every now and then before my test so I can feel more confident. I'll post the transcript in case others find it useful: So, you might be finishing your driving test and coming back down this road. Eventually, you're going to come up to two roundabouts. For the first one, you'll go straight, and for the second one, you'll take the second exit. As you approach the first roundabout, just beyond the traffic lines, you'll see two lanes. Initially, both lanes are for going straight ahead. Choose the right lane to begin with. As you get closer, you'll notice that these two lanes become four. Use lane three to go straight ahead. This is the best route to go back to the test center. The lanes in the roundabout spiral slightly, so stay within your lane, and be aware of lane three becoming lane two. Don't forget to signal when you're coming off the roundabout, as it's very close, and people often forget to do so because there is a lot to do. Now, as you approach the second roundabout, you're going to turn right using the middle lane, which should be the lane you're currently in. You want to take the second exit. Be cautious, as people often "shield" here, meaning that a large vehicle could obstruct your view to the right. Before you commit to entering, also take a look at the traffic lights to make sure they are green and traffic isn't backing up; otherwise, you might end up blocking the roundabout. Remember to stay tight in your lane; you might straddle lanes if you aren't aware of them. Also, note that the speed limit here and along Raynesway is 30 mph, unless stated otherwise.
I was very surprised while watching your Alloygator video above, especially seeing the wheel damage on your car ! Like you, I'm also a driving instructor and have many learner drivers who use my car daily. I decided to put these Alloygators on my New Seat Ibiza car back in 2020 after a colleagues recommendation. I'm absolutely delighted with the results and daily wheel protection the Alloygators have provided to my car during the past 3 years of having them fitted. There are many cuts and grazes on all Alloygators, which have been caused by pupils occasionally driving too close to kerbs.However, there is no damage whatsoever on any of my wheel rims which is amazing really after 3 years of giving driving lessons to novice drivers. I'm not sure if the material used on your Alloygators is different from my Alloygators ? Hope that helps to clarify that not all Alloygators produce the same results. Kind regards to all.
I'm not going to lie, if this was my test the hardest part would be trying not to laugh at the way the satnav tries to pronounce city names and also reverse bay parking
