My left foot switch started malfunctioning, not working or going crazy and cycling through all effects. I found this video and just finished installing these switches. It works great now. Thanks for this!
Feel exactly the same, I quit professional software development after 15 years, really like the old Tascam 4 track dawless feel, my Model 12 is on the way
Looks like the Loopback software is essential to do multiple signals at once. I am considering a Model 24 but used to using Loopback on SSL12, Antelope Audio and Studiolive Mixers.
Great video! Hey random question how did you attach the foot knobs I feel like I need to attach those to mine because I can’t accurately switch effects
Ordered one of these today. I have a gig this weekend and play alot of chili peppers stuff. Seems like this will be a great tone for alot of those songs. Thank you!
Certainly easier than sending all channels out via sub and back in to bounce down in real time (although i may still do it that way if i need to make fader moves etc during the mix). Useful to know how to move tracks so quickly too.. i dont have to unplug cables anymore ! Thanks for this vid
Really impressive workaround😃👍🏻. I ask myself why I got so many expensive pluggins😒. Can you please share the midi stems of these chord progressions as someone asks before?
Very good information! This is how the Beatles made such amazing sounding music on their 4 and 8 tracks back in the day. I was wondering how to do this.
Go to chord? Yeah. I just don't really know what the name is. It's a basic open C shape, but root on the 8th or 10th fret instead of the 3rd. Sounds even better tuned down to D standard.
Hey Glenn, could you please tell me how to check the remaining battery charge? The manual explains how to switch battery types so it will be shown accurately, but not WHERE the info is shown! I really must either blind or dumb...
Hey there. Got any idea why OBS doesn't get any signal from my Microphone? I get sound from Channel 1 and 2 (as for the background instrumentals, both set on PC mode) but my MIC is on Channel 3 (Live Mode, cant hear it if its in PC mode) and it just won't get the signal to OBS despite me selecting it right in the source. Do you know what I can do? (I have TASCAM Model 16)
Renaming not too bad. Setting - Patch - knob 1 for character-/knob 2 for next character to change. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vJcLrIB3dyg.htmlsi=mHoxd68Yv7u98rMq
Yes, you can save and rename. You have a total of 50 patches, 10 blank, and 40 preset by the factory, but any of those can be changed, customized, moved, copied…there is nothing this pedal can’t do!
This might be a really dumb question but what should i do with my actual amp in terms of bass/gain/treble? Should i run this pedal through a clean tone?
from how i understand it the amp & cab sim is if you're sending your signal out to speakers or like a PA system, if you have a combo amp already then that already has an amp and speakers so you don't need to put an amp on your pedal
Hey! Awesome video, thank you very much! One question, I am a new in Reaper, could you please help me, how did you make the "play/pause/rec" buttons and the other ones to be abobe, in the left upper corner? Is it a special theme or it is possible to adjust it and to move it up?
Like to find some tutorials on EQ 'ing guitar/bass/drums on this without a DAW. I don't use a DAW. Literally everything on the SD card & then mixdown to a simple free DAW...but otherwise no DAWs. & I've always used analog gear & it was quite different than this.
My best suggestion for eq is start with the hugs and lows since they are fixed frequency. Then move to the mids by boosting them Up by 6-10db, sweeping the frequency knob until you find a frequency that stands out as unpleasant then back off the gain until it is at a good level.
Oh and as a generally rule, it's better to try and cut frequencies before you boost frequencies. That way your not adding extra volume to your mix unnecessarily. Again a general rule. One that is often broken too. Good luck and have fun!
@@GlennThomasTech you bring in numbers like "6-10db" & that's where I get confused. I never was good with numbers. I just know what I hear; I couldn't cut or boost anything by 6-10db if you asked me to. I wish there was a better way to explain things. Decibels measure sound levels. That's not my problem. I'm trying to EQ to get better tone (or at the moment good tone; I didn't have this problem with tape, probably because I'm pretty experienced with tape. But I'm pretty much a virgin when it comes to digital.)
it means turning the eq knob up or down 6-10db (the numbers are next to the knobs) turning it up would be boosting that frequency, turning the knob down would be cutting that frequency@@JakeStrange66
Thanks for your video. I a not clear with the following: !. Can you save the eq settings as a preset? Do you put the effect direct onto the track, so that the eq is only valid for this track, or how is the procedure? Thanks!
Hmmm...so I could record 8 tracks, & combine them to one stereo channel. I wonder if I can record more tracks & then combine those onto the other stereo channel to get even more tracks. Most of my music is pretty basic punk/hard rock & I've only ever overdubbed guitar & vocals, so it's not even necessary for me. That's why i got the 12 instead of the 16 or 24...but I'm gonna try that tomorrow just to see what I can do. That's awesome. I didn't even know about that... Thanks
Like I said, I don't do a lot of different tracks; just overdubs of guitar & vocal tracks. But this might give it an even fuller sound because before I had been recording on a Tascam 424mkiii that uses cassette tapes. 😂 So it was very limited @@GlennThomasTech
@@GlennThomasTech🤔 hmm... I've tried it, even watching along with the video to be sure I'm doing it right, but it's not working. I've tried it 3 times now & it's not doing it. I may have to try something else.
very helpful. maybe you can tell me if i have any option besides track swap to record a second guitar track. i'd rather not have move the first guitar track's plug but i don't see any way to route it. thank you
