I guess if you have a machine shop and plenty of spare time if you own a machine shop you probably would have enough money to just buy the parts and if you had a machine shop you probably don't have much spare time so in other words what a useless waste of time video
Was your harness that clean when you pulled it off or did you wash it? If you did what did you wash it with? My truck harness is full of grease, oil and a ton of dirt. Not to mention the wires feel as if they are stuck together lol. Great video, I really appreciate it!
I got a 4.3 , the harness and pcm came with the motor and was cut in pieces , i rewired it with wire I bought off ebay . After a couple or months the motor wouldn`t start , i had been using the wire on other projects ,they were failing too . The cheap ebay wire the copper conductor turned to green dust not just the connections ,but the entire length of the wire .
So, I understand that this harness mod makes it possible for the LS engine to be dropped into, say, a bare-bones 1949 Studebaker truck which has been converted to 12V Negative ground? Help me out here!
I am swapping to blazer rear disc and c5 front brakes. I'm trying to figure out what master cylinder to use. what master and prop valve did you end up using?
I might be treating this like a redit page but honestly what did he do here? He referenced the web page that told him to remove these wires but I dont get why. I incorrectly thought he was going to create a NEW wiring harness with new (non brittle) wire. Its obvious that if he was putting it in a same vehicle hed need the same wires so I assume its other than that. How would this website know he didnt need these wires?
What state are you in? I’m in SC and just purchased a 96 s10 2.2/5spd for my son and I to tinker with. I have a complete drivetrain/harness/computer from a 96 full-size (5.7/4l60e) but I’d rather have manual trans in the s10. I have no problem with the mechanical side but the electrical blows my mind.
Can that section be cut completely off and replaced with something removable? I don't feel like taking the whole motor out to replace a oil pan gasket Any links would be great. Also would it be safe to do?
Greetings.. I am in a project for a 1984 S10, I will be installing an Ls 5.3 and I would like to know what engine mounts I should use for this project.
Don't take this as an insult but you look a lot like my favorite "Stooge" Jerome Lester Horwitz, known professionally as Curly Howard. Thumbs up for that alone! 👍
Hey cheeky what kind of lathe setup did you use for the hub? With my lathe machine I feel like it’ll take me days before its cuts it to size! Please sum insight i knows its been awhile
