I can confirm, I had to place a beer outside Cap's door when we were at the castle for my wedding. It was the only way to get him to come out. This video rocked. Got to see it early thanks to Patreon. That Mezco Wolverine is worth it for the Sentinel base alone. I can admit, I'm not colle ting them anymore either. They're incredible figures and whatnot but like you, I buy them and do nothing with them. I'm beyond excited to see what you do with After Effects. It's already looking good.
Thanks man! Haha yes I need to be bribed to leave my lair every single time. I’m glad I had this wake-up call with Mezco, it’s making me consider selling off the ones I have. I can appreciate them, but do nothing with them anymore. I’m looking forward to playing with more After Effects. The new MK video I’m doing could be a cool testing ground for some effects.
I’ve been here for years. Seen you create some amazing dioramas but that sidewalk fence might be the absolute best. The detail is amazing. It looks so real.
Love the back attachment for the sewer. Wish my shelf had more depth to attach to my lair. Little details like that circuit box really add so much. And that sidewalk reminds of the top of the old sewer playset street level. Really loving how that came out!
Thanks man! That sewer play set is exactly what I was inspired by for that sidewalk/fence setup haha. I used the posters and grime as a modern interpretation of the old school stickers from the Playmates set. Thanks for watching!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, those NECA TMNT dios and displays you got going in the lab look so cool. You have definitely made those sewer dios you own over the last few years. I remember watching the 5 Days of Dios sewer video years ago and being impressed with that, but these new ones are on a whole different power level, which is over 9000, of course. That test clip of Burning Godzilla looked great. Animating with those monsterarts is just so much fun, especially when they have good articulation and smooth joints. The GMK and 89 Godzilla are the best for me in terms of smoothness and posability. I just got the adobe suite because of school, so I'm gonna be dipping my toes into Premiere and After effects in the coming weeks, and I can't wait. I've been eyeing the software and watching from a distance all the awesome stuff people have been making with the Adobe stuff for a long time now, and to finally have access to it, and for free, I couldn't be more excited. Jet Jaguar looks badass. I'm sticking with Godzilla Ultima for my SP kick for now, but if they make an Anguirus from the show (or any Anguirus for that matter), that is a day one purchase. And yes, a 73 JJ would be accepted with open arms too. Two videos in two day! You're spoiling us man haha. Awesome video, man!
That’s awesome that you’re gonna be able to mess with the Adobe suite. I’ve only dipped my toe into After Effects and it’s a LOT to take in, haha. But I figure little by little, it’ll be a great tool for the animations I want to make. Jet Jaguar is a fun figure, I liked his appearance in Singular Point enough to justify the figure. The add-ons really make him worthwhile for me. Glad you like the dioramas! The two new ones were a lot of fun, sometimes the smaller ones end up being cooler to me than the huge ones haha. Thanks for watching!
Your dioramas never disappoint. Always super creative and look great. Never trust warehouse grass. You need the newly announced Mattel Royal Rumble Vader figure.
Fucking fun watching the warehouse stuff lol. Not giving up on that Magneto figure, are you? Looks great. "Random rock pieces." lol. You don't remember Thailong? He's Goliath's clone, but they called him his son. Ah man, I'm still looking for Bronx. So you're working with NECA? That's fucking awesome! The Mezco figures look good, but too much money and not for me. The dioramas looking good as always. Nice, you figured out after effects? I tried once, but got lost lol. Three Shawns? Hahaha! I didn't notice that people on here don't watch the stop motions as much, but then again you make more videos a year than I do. It looks like the ones that get the views are the ones who do unboxings and toy hunts. All the new shit with the cliche thumbnails, as we all talked about before. Great video. Always entertaining content.
Always appreciate the comments! Haha yeah I just couldn’t remember Thailog for some reason, I remember guys like Macbeth, Xanatos, the Steel Clan, etc but I guess that means I’ve got to revisit the show. Yeah man, been doing music for NECA since the beginning of the year. It’s been great, I’m really grateful to be part of it all! The whole Mezco Wolverine thing was a wake up call for me, I think I might sell the few figures I have since I do nothing with them. Definitely something to think about. And you nailed it - the people posting 15-20 minute videos like 5 times a week are getting more views these days. It’s just how things go right now, I’m gonna keep doing what I like and I’ll find other places to post it so that people on different platforms get to see it if they don’t mess with RU-vid. Thanks for watching as always!
I’d say that first Burning Godzilla animation shot is a little worse than the second. The glow looks a little too much like a sort of lense flare. But I’d say you really nailed the look with the second shot! I myself managed to finally get my hands on Burning Godzilla, too. It really is a fantastic release. Looking forward to more from you, man! Keep up the great work!
Will you be getting the ultimate edition 14 Jeff Hardy? It’s a kickass fig and my personal favorite era and attire for him the white pants just pop and that jeff would be kickass in JWF
I really like the burning in the second clip, I don’t think it’s too much, and if it was, my mind can justify it as creative license, since stop motion, and animation in general, doesn’t really have to look completely realistic
Captain, your statement about the algorithm of RU-vid being unfair to content creators like you who works hours if not days for a single animation only to receive minimal attention brings me back to your friend, DGDX Animations’ video about why he’s resorted to different means of content creating with what RU-vid has done (or lack there of) to him; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zqFghpI5E-s.html
Absolutely. DGDX is a smart guy and tries to stay on top of the trends so he knows the best places to put his videos. I’ve moved over to IG with my wrestling stuff and it’s been seen much more there than it has on RU-vid, as I mentioned in this video. I might see about some other platforms too.
