No the film took place in Brooklyn and queens they couldn’t get rights to film the movie in Newark where the story was based on. It’s based on a true story on the corruption in Newark police force and the car jackers And yeah idk who wore that hairstyle in the 90s 😂 I think she wanna be different And if you seen the deleted scenes it told more of a story but they never put it in the film. The girl started dating Jason but they never put that in the film only deleted scenes.

This movie was released in 1995, not 1993. Also, it was shadowed by Menace 2 Society, Above The Rim, and other movies. This is one of the most underrated movie.

New Jersey Drive is definitely an underrated hood classic. Like you said it’s a collection of scenes moreso than a full movie but it works. Charismatic actors and some like Richie I would’ve liked to see in more scenes. Roscoe is lowkey a top 10 hood movie villain. You on the rise Bro, keep sharpening your skills. I've seen this movie, about 100 times. I saw it again, about 3-4 days ago. My God-Brother never saw it before and I was trying not give away any of the good parts. Avon "STREET" sounds better, when you're angry and saying a LINE in a movie - rather then AVE. Try doing that line with the correct term - does NOT have the same affect The girl in the movie had a "past relationship with Kyle "Midget". She was much more attracted to Jason Petty, but *JASON* was too immature/blind and ignorant to know, she actually cared or good near "loved him" - But when you're a boy....and these are teens......you don't know what "feelings and love are". YES, it's just that deep. Now on RU-vid, someone was kind enough to share, all the Deleted Scenes from the movie. Some of those scenes are very very essential to the movie. But they were cut out of the movie. Last but not least - Even though Midget died in that corny car chase = Speculations were made, that Jason's SISTER "may have been the pregnant girl, that was killed in the final car chase" (again, this is speculation) After this movie, Jason Petty's mother did a few commercials and a few tv roles - very good actress
