i absolutely loved John Witherspoon's performance as Craig's no nonsense dad, I feel he doesn't get talked about much when it comes to the Friday movies.

This movie is one of the most quotable movies & one of the greatest cult classics of all time. Fun Facts: This movie was filmed in 20 days. DJ Pooh was supposed to play Smokey but the film company wanted an actor for the role. Chris Rock & Tommy Davidson was considered for the role. F. Gary Gray fought for Chris Tucker to get the role because Chris was unknown at the time. In the scene where Deebo knocked Red out was filmed in front of F. Gary Gray’s childhood home. Smokey’s mama was Willie Manchester’s woman in South Central.

When I saw this movie in 1995 it was the "Extended version" from today, so maybe the version cut out is being sell as the original version which is full crap, cause the original is the extended version.
