im really irritated that in order to have my new akai mpk 3 midi controller working i have to break it down. Annoying af. Thats not what i baught it for. thanks for advicing me this solution, but i gues i will try to turn it back first and get a better working unit
And how does this work the other way around? When you want to hard sync video fragments to the audio, the video stays locked to the fps ratio. Anyway to work around that and move video segments freely?
Just did this on an Akai MPKmini MK3. Works great... two layers of tape in my case. First try didn't work on a single pad, but after re-applying the tape, two layers proved being the sweet spot to me.
I've kept coming back to this tutorial for over 5 years. I first discovered it when I was teaching a class on green screen editing in 2015, and now over 7 years on, here I am still using it. Really goes to show how much of a MVP this video is. Thank you so much for making it
Same as everyone else here... discovered this tutorial 4 years ago and I still use it when I'm in a bind. I have no idea how you figured out this technique but it's been so helpful!
I just did it and it works great! I had to adjust how tight i put the screws in though to get it just right, as one of the pads was sticking, but after 3 tries and 1.5 hours it's perfect. Thanks for the vid man!
