I started a blog myrandomtechblog.com with my son as a fun project for us to get on the web. He helps with the graphic design and photography and other items. It's been a really enjoyable experience so far. He is the one who talked me into starting a youtube channel to go along with it. I enjoy working on cars, computers and cryptomining, and fixing things around the house, so more then likely this will be a random sampling of videos about those items. I hope you find some of the videos useful or somewhat entertaining at least.
Great video. I have to replace side mirror. Brake Masters wants $160 for the labor so thank you for enabling me to avoid that! I need those resources for the brakes. I hope my friend will help. I'm a small 74 yr old woman. Found your video first thing. Thank you!!!
This is very useful THANK YOU!!!! Mine is clearly misaligned. racking my head trying to figure out why since nothing was broken. So much appreciation! Do you have any tips for the caper? I have a multipurpose that has tension that won't tighten so it just leans back and is sort of annoyingly useless while looking pretty
Thank you so much for the video! It was extremely helpful. I have had a torn seat for a few years on my 3rd gen. I didn't like how seat covers felt, so I rocked the torn drivers seat for most of the time. Just spent the afternoon doing this and it looks much better. I couldn't get the seat bottom to look perfect, but it's pretty close. I ordered the new foam as well, so it's really nice to have new, untorn foam with the new seat bottom. Thanks again!
Thanks for great video, well explained steps. Did you notice any stitching getting getting pulled tight enough to break if hog rings pulled hard on new cover. Planning the same on our 2000 4Runner front leather seats, but will also be dealing with power seat mechanisms.
8 months trying to clear the past phones. No one had an answer for the greyed out button. Some even wanted me to play around with a cable to the hand break. This is the only info I have found telling us the simple solution that works. Thank you so much 🙏🏽
Dude!! Followed this exactly. Worked out perfect. Thanks so much for making this video. Except i followed the advise of someone here to use a brass ferrule compression valve instead - and it worked out well.
Threading into plastic might hold up. There is an alternative way to secure the machine screw pin replacement that comes from the 3D-print world: melt a 10-24 heat set insert into the plastic part, and put some blue thread locker on the 10-24 machine screw before you screw it into the insert. The result is super strong. You have to shorten the insert to match the thickness of the geared part, but that's not difficult. I have three Aeron chairs; all had the pin snapped off. The fix has been rock solid for months.
Thank you for the video. I have 4 Aeron chairs all over 15 years, They all have the same problems. The cables won't move. Your video gave me some confidence to open them up and see if I can fix them
Somos muchos con ese problema y otros más de este modelo de gimbal y lo malo q el servicio técnico no soluciona nada y te sale un dineral enviarlo a países lejanos saludos
Thank you for this! Bought an Aeron. Couldn't figure out why front tilt wouldn't work properly. Took this video to figure it out, but made it a piece of cake!
This was a great video on how to replace the bottom seat cover for my 1998 4Runner. I bought the covers from a different manufacturer which was made of leather. The cover had some type of small hard wooden rod stiched in as a replacement for the metal rods. It worked just like your blue strips. Thank you so much for the time you put in to make and edit this video. You saved me a lot of time and money to have a shop do it.
This was a great video on how to replace the seatback cover for my 1998 4Runner. I bought the covers from a different manufacturer and happened to be snugger. Thank you so much for the time you put in to make and edit this video. You saved me a lot of time and money to have a shop do it.
I installed this exact universal system in my 98 4Runner that does not have the factory RS3000. After I buttoned everything back up I realized I could now only lock and unlock from the fob (not from the door switches). So thinking it has something to do with the splicing into the lock/unlock trigger wires under the dash or maybe it being a $16 part? Was going to order another and see if maybe I just had a faulty unit. Additionally, the receiver box beeps on lock/unlock, but only when a door is open. If the doors are closed, not beeping. I actually prefer not hearing anything from that box, but wondered if yours makes any beeping noises?
