while AAA games have become a pain for so many reasons i don't want to list right now, the length of them is also a problem most people don't know how to address, like i could have played so many AAA story driven games that i decide not to bother do to the fear of the game wasting my time until i rage quite mid story, God of War Ragnarok as much as i would have loved to play that game i end up watching someone else playthrough and im glad i did cause that game paths itself with so many contradicting side quests, wasting your time that at some point i zoned out
Bro sorry it's off topic but it just blew my mind the other night I had time to start playing Lunacid, I decided to wait until it was out of early access and didn't look anything up about it so I had a mindfuck when the forgotten archives music seemed a little different and impossible to be produced by anyone else but you and sure enough, it was produced by you. It actually tells you when you zone into the area but I didn't notice because I was zoned out if you know what I mean.
Okay real talk I started playing with the “Whatever. I’m so cool” mentality and the game is actually fantastic for me that way. Just roleplay as an emo edge lord badass and you’ll be fine. It’s meant for you to just look cool.
While DMC 2 now has the aesthetics that unapologetically blasts me from the past with its unabashed 2000s dark visuals and sound, DmC is my fave. They have the aesthetics and grit i feel was missing then. And its surrealism matched with the parody tone for social commentary just scratches a power fantasy I never thought I needed. And as enjoyable as 5 is, I can smell from a mile away that 5 is just the extremist dmc fanboy's fanservice nostalgia wet dream. There's nothing wrong with that. That's their thing. Doesn't mean it's the greatest. The memes are the only other thing that's funny about 5
Eternal Sonata really is a game of extremes. The environments are amazing, but the dialogue...holy crap the dialogue. I appreciate that you can appreciate it. It's not for grown-up me, I can say that much. You're right that the English dub didn't help matters. Viola though...Viola's cool. She's a super-powerful goat herder with an animal companion and goat-styled hair, yet is arguably the most normal person in that entire music-and-philosophy-drenched universe.
this is the only resi game i have never played. downloading it right now. after i beat it there will never be an "old" resi game i have never played :(
The Xbox 360 version had NO frame-rate issues at all. The PS3 and Switch ports ran like arse. As for the sequel, I shan't even bother. It's stop motion. Poor developers and optimisation.
Dude I thought I was the only one! I constantly get weird looks when I tell ppl that it's my favorite dmc. Glad someone has some sense. Thanks for the validation Thor!
I also wanna point out the understated metal influence that occasionally appears in Akira’s work. And no, not just songs like Angel’s Thanatos which sound like Nirvana mixed with KoЯn being played on a 7 string tuned to B. Akira Yamaoka is like, a massive Metalhead. The song “Killed by death,” on the SH1 soundtrack is literally named after a Motörhead song. Also he’s admitted to being a Metallica Stan before lol.
I accidently ran across Natsuiro High School for PS4 at half price books in Dallas and I had no idea it was that kind of game. What a random game. I sold it the other day and got 100 dollars for it. Its expensive now for some odd reason.
Oh gosh, I didn't really know until recently that people hated Sonic Chronicles music. I didn't mind AT ALL when I played it as a teen, and hearing the first track you played in this video knocked me over with nostalgia. Let's go, dopey midi chiptune covers!
