This really makes you Feel Like Summertime High School. A Young Man’s Notes - How a New Exchange Student Like Myself Ran Into His Childhood Friend On The School Tour, Then For Some Reason Became Super-Popular With The Girls For His Daily Scoops On The School Photography Club Even Though He Only Takes Panty Shots, And What He Thinks As He Goes On Dates During His Summer Of Island School Life

Ridge Racer has my favorite fictional car designs, next to burnout. Usually, a car game with no licensed cars goes the obvious frankenstein approach, with designs just mashing 2 or more cars together, rather than using them as inspirations. RR cars are also well proportioned, not looking like mid 2000 Hot Wheels. Having actual designers on board also helps. Your comment on RR7's cars feeling otherworldly is on point, and why I like those designs. A glimpse of the future.
SG/ZH: Schol Girl/Zombie Hunter is currently in a humble bundle and this is the second video in 2 days that i've seen a mention of "Summertime High School. A Young Man’s Notes - How a New Exchange Student Like Myself Ran Into His Childhood Friend On The School Tour, Then For Some Reason Became Super-Popular With The Girls For His Daily Scoops On The School Photography Club Even Though He Only Takes Panty Shots, And What He Thinks As He Goes On Dates During His Summer Of Island School Life" in a YT video. What a time to be alive. I guess.
Always a treat to see a new video and was happy to see it touching on Kiryu's story in IW. I had only gotten into the series very briefly when Zero came out, was at the beginning of a doomed relationship and gaming became less a focus of my free time. After that very very rough period after I used the games as a sort of an inspiration to rebuild my life better, with tons of great success. Ended up really loving the new direction with Like a Dragon only for Gaiden to hit me with major feels that got completely eclipsed with Kiryu's cancer diagnosis. Before was easy for me to approach the games a sort of virtual vacation with friends but having lost my mother to cancer about a little over a year before IW came out it absolutely destroyed me. Still nowhere near processing all those emotions (from the real life loss, not the gaming one) but I think seeing that dose of reality thrown into my escape fantasy has helped on some level. Also really looking forward to the next topic as I pretty much ran into the same kind of issue with the same titles. I think it took me a bit over a real life month to beat IW with it being the only title I played the entire time. Did maybe a third of the content? Meanwhile titles I ordered months ago started showing up and suddenly I've got at least 3 games that are going to be 60 plus hours to finish all sitting on my desk.
As a Yakuza fan, finding you from Mysterious PS3 Games and at this point seeing every damn video of yours cause of your chill voice, deep narration, picking open the game and concluding it is so damn good. So, yes, yes I did see your Yakuza 0 to 6 on how to end a series video as going back to 0 was fresh and ending it on 6 on a light tone was flawed but good.
i dont know if you have been inn Japan before, but the moment i arrived to Tokyo i understood Japanese videogames design, art, and culture behind then, suddenly everything off about the places, the corridors, the roads, the colors, the items, the characters, come on even the paths you follow on a city , ALL HAVE SENSE FOR ME.
Couldn’t watch the whole thing because Yakuza spoilers, but amazing video as always :) the way you describe games is always such a vibe and hella inspiring, and your game is looking really sweet too! Can’t wait to explore in it
If you want an official one, but I'm pretty sure that clones and 3rd party ones are still plentiful. I have a cheap bluetooth controller I bought to use with my phone and while reading the manual I discovered it also worked with PC, Xbox, PS3, and Switch.
SG/ZH made a poor first impression on me, but I insist on 100%ing any game I start because I am an idiot, so I went back to it after a few years. Ended up rather enjoying it, despite the game's best efforts (mainly the maze stages). The opening song is truly awful, but the rest of the 10 or so music tracks in the entire game are pretty good, even if at least a few are reused from Oneechanbara. The mechanics felt more satisfying as I put more time into it, dodge rolling around and abusing i-frames on physical attacks. The character designs are pretty good too. I'd play a sequel, especially if they gave it the Oneechanbara Origin visual treatment.
I hope you succeed in installing ps3hen. I did it on my ps3 and I find it so convenient to rip whole discs onto usb drives an play them entirely from there.
oh god, I felt the the PS3 hacking segment, I realized late that my BT module was damaged and turns out it kinda bricks your ps3 if you update it, fun times :)
From my understanding, the reason the PS3 still gets updates is because it's also a blu ray player and since blu ray encryption updates from time to time the PS3 needs to update too. I'm fairly certain that the source I read that on ages ago (when dealing with the frustrations of blu ray encryption) mentioned that they basically have a legal obligation to update it.
The high school zombie game should have had something like Left 4 Dead's AI director. That would have made have it at least a little bit more replayable. And yeah it's pretty depressing to see Kiryu go through so much shit. Hopefully he gets a satisfactory ending in the later Yakuza games.
For real, the Japanese created a concept that allows them to make INFINITE stories around a franchise without an arch, and is called GAIDEN, the gaiden concept is basically "just stories", or filler, your can work forever and in anyway you want with the GAIDEN concept, also you can set the gaiden or gaidens at any period of the arch, if the YAKUZA team wants, they can make "gaidens" of young Kiryu or adult or old Kiryu, the bad side of this is that it can get the public fed up or tired of the formula, so far they kinda made this with the feudal japan spin-off, but their strategy were the spin-offs, on PSP, now "like a dragon" series, the "judgement" series, the shooter on the ps3 and so on.,
