This is pointless, do you have additional draw on it? And you is the tiny factory wire that actually goes to the battery going to handle it? Great way to melt a wire if you actually a load on it.
Just found your videos man, beard has come a long way lol I appreciate the videos, I’ve got a 7.3 myself and I’d be pretty lost without your walk thru. Definitely helps when I get stumped.
Haha damn sorry brotha! I did a TON of upgrades and repairs and made videos on most of them so if you go through my content hopefully you can find answers for whatever you need🤘🏻
If I am doing any work, I usually use Simple Green and clean the engine before I start..... so much easier to work... and see if I misplace anything...
Thanks bro I did my kc300x my self cuz your video my shit lined up perfect did the same exact up pipes and everything thanks bro you were a huge Inspiration and help brother ! Amen
So now when you go to the store or park it anywhere some fool throws his door open and puts a deep dent in your door? So the point of removing the protection was for it to look cool? People do whatever they want to their trucks, but I guess your plan is to fill and paint all the dings over time. I'm buying factory door molding for my Superduty.
Great video man, watching from Australia. I like how you took the time to explain everything where you could, including where you ran into issues and your solutions. I'm going to be doing pretty much the same upgrades on my '05 Brazil built, Australian delivered 250 XLT crew cab in the next month or so. My factory turbo case & impeller is worn, up-pipes are leaking, not badly but when I bought the rig about 3 years ago it felt way down on power. I found a hole worn in the cold side intercooler pipe from where it was misaligned and rubbing on the top of the power steering pump. It was easy enough to make a plug and weld up the hole. I also found a leak in the fuel line on the left bank in the valley, so swapped the, both out with high pressure braided flexi lines and deleted the fuel filters in the back of the heads (check valves) which made a huge difference. I built my own exhaust system using the OE pipes but fitted a high flow muffler and side dump which made a big improvement, but it's still lacking in power compared to a mates mostly stock 7.3. He's got about 1/2 the miles and only swapped out his exhaust for a custom 5" system and running a Hydra, but I think just replacing the up pipes should liven the big girl up and adding the KC300x turbo & Hydra should really wake mine up. I'm not so worried about doing mine after seeing your video,,, great work. My OCD is really hoping that you got rid of all that grime from the valley before you called it done though?
@@camsherro3097 yeah I had the same hole in my intercooler pipe too and have a video finding it and another video replacing it. Haha. And I understand the OCD but I didn’t clean it completely because these truck love to leak so it’s probably just going to get nasty again 😂
I installed mine . Not bad install by myself but did take some time . When finished I installed fuse in port to power the brain , instantly my steps both sides went up to store themselves. Now for the life of me can't get them to enable and come down . I feel like it's a odb 2 dongle problem but can't really say . I've tried swapping odb wires [2 purple wires ] tied together 2 separate ways and still can't get them to deploy . Pissin me off to the max if I have to disassemble everything n send it back .
My hydra works perfectly. I pull a 28,000 trailer w/excavator. And the tunes I have give me like 100hp towing. And I don’t go over 1400 on get. Super chips is such a dirty tune. But it works. All he has to do is call PHP and they could explain it all to him.
@@charliebrozuski I still use my hydra to this day and it works for towing my trailer too. The only issue is after awhile it starts throwing codes and I have to plug it into the computer and reprogram it. About once every 2 years
Can you insert a thin wire into the hole and slide through the middle of the cvd fitting and let it slide down. I am about to change mine. I thought it might work but never tested the theory.
You should of used the 2 hose mod looks like you were causing a blockage I used a valve and my ac is freezing cold Al the time in the 40s even at night it’s almost uncomfortable after aug I will open the valve again where I live it gets about 105 degrees out and everything helps with freezing cold ac makes a huge difference and cleaning the condenser and the evaporator and the fan motor 😂 it has a bypass system they all it on Amazon open it lets it flow into the heater core closed it bypassed the heater core or you can do the dual valve vacuum mod I don’t like it
Why does your truck have a glow plug relay similar to the 6.0 versus a normal 7.3 glow plug relay? Any of the 7.3s I have worked on have never had that. Also where did you get that stainless crossover I have hydraulic line crossover right now I would like to get a stainless one I plan on upgrading injectors and high pressure oil pump and low pressure oil pump
@@michaelstenli7123 from what I’ve been told it’s a California thing with the glow plug module on 7.3s vs the standard relay, so I’m not sure where you’re located but I guess here that’s what they have. And it’s been a few years but I’m pretty positive I got the stainless crossover from RiffRaffDiesel.com.
I just started subscribing today, but have randomly come across your videos from time to time over the years as my interests guide the algorithm.... I appreciate your good attitude and the fact that you can just tell you're a good dude to hang out with. I've also got a 7.3 ('02) that I've owned for over 18 years now.. bought with 80k on the clock and now we're somewhere around 220k. Mostly trouble-free.. a few little electrical gremlins here and there.. but as I sit here, currently contemplating letting her go and getting into a '15-'17 5.0 F150, RU-vid keeps trying to stick with the tried and true. Keep doing what you're doing.
@@CheesesSupra thanks man! I’m glad you enjoy the videos. I get where you’re coming from, I love my 7.3 and always say I’ll keep it forever, but every once in a great while the thought of having a more simple, stock truck crosses my mind 😂
@@NoHalfAss where they snap the throttle 3 times and observe any smoke out of the tail pipe. Has to clear within a couple of seconds. I’m just curious because I’ve had trucks fail due to the technicians incorrect interpretation of the requirement
My problem with these steps on my 2017 GMC is that on a warm day the controller heats up the steps stop working. Once the temp drops after the truck sits for a while, they start working again. You might have this problem as well.
Years ago when i first got my stock 7.3 you inspired to do ALL of this myself. I now have every component. Thank you. I too would like an update video if you find time. Perhaps with lessons learned and things you would do differently.
That’s why I went with the other mod for the AC yours basically works by just blocking the heater Core line which builds pressure like you said which can potentially cause a blowout the one I got when the vacuum triggers the valve instead it loops the water through With two hose connections from heater core when it’s in normal use it’s open and runs through the heater core when you trigger the valve with max AC it opens other hoses connection and sends it back through the system so you’re still allowing fluid transfer without building pressure. I would recommend you switch to that one and if I remember right the price is about the same I can’t remember where I got it if it was Riff Raff or some other diesel site.
Tried this and its legit, great constant tension throughout the reps both on the positive and the negative, gives a great pump and its brutal so you know its working💪🏼
🙌🏻🙌🏻 I have a new video dropping tomorrow morning proving that the plates are real too 🤙🏻 someone accused me of using fake plates so I had to prove them wrong 💪🏻😂
I love free weights for most exercises, but for some reason I feel more activation and tension in my biceps with a cable or machine when it comes to preacher curls. Using a free weight curl bar on the preacher pad doesn’t seem to hit right for me. I like standing free weight curls though
I did this this past weekend and it is amazing how cool I run when towing in town. I didn't think it was possible. I wish I would have done this way back when I i had a Ford Tranny installed. On 96 degree days I run 140 to 160 degrees. I had to flog it to get to 160. I can stay close to 140 if I behave.
I’ll still have some 7.3 content here and there whenever I do something on the truck. I don’t put as much time, money, and effort into the 7.3 anymore these days so it won’t be as frequent.
