After watching you rebut so many flat earth arguments I’ve concluded almost no one actually believes the earth is flat. They’re just accepting a side on which to debate for the fun of debating. Furthermore I don’t think you will ever convince someone to “convert”. That would end the debate.
I don't understand why a map is an issue. Globers need to address the 2nd law of thermodynamics issue with no solid barrier between earth and space. Also as high as you go the horizon will rise with the eye of the observer. 20,000 ft it's still at eye level. IMPOSSIBLE ON A BALL!! Schools in.
Generally agreed, but as for the 7:40, the plane is far enough away that the light will diffuse enough that you will see the average of the area rather than the flashing and dancing of the lights
True, although that averaging would be because the light is approaching from multiple directions, which then would prevent the hard edged shadows from forming
Oh man, this was just about how camera optics work. Very basic stuff. Flat earthers probably think that the optics record things from an infinitely small point. Insead its a larger area and parts can be above and below of the table surface while the whole thing is perfectly centered. You can reproduce the same effect very easily with your eyes. Just put your finger very close to it and look at something further away. You will be able to look through parts of your finger.

If you got through the explanation of the effect of the iris on depth of field, you can now understand why studio lighting is so bright. Yes, we have cameras that can shoot in less light without noise, but because the iris needs to be open the DOF is very small. With more light we can close down the iris and get a deeper field in focus.

cant they just mneasure a rope a wire or some string of 100km on a table, wind it up on a wheel and then measure a straight road and spread it on the road and see they missing 8 feet due to curvature???
Shortly after sunset there is an easy observation.when there are multiple layers of sparse patches of cloud. The layers of cloud darken bottom upwards. The flat Earth response is tired light but then that means low down stars should not be visible.
A much simpler & cheaper experiment would be to fly to the south of Argentina in the June & film the stars rotation (at night you crazy FE's, with a camera facing south), then fly to Brazil & do the same experiment (with in a few days) to see if there are any similarities & then fly to Panama to do the same again, then go to Central USA & repeat. This would only cost around 5 to 10k, so I'm sure HUNDREDS of FE's could go in this trip. Obviously the southern stars would disappear the further north they would travel & the cone would invert from South to north, unless the aliens thought of that &, er, magnets or something???

6:21 this guy PROVES the flat earth model 😂. A flat pizza pan disc with upturned edge that looks as the horizon is curved because it’s a flat circle. Flat earth model: a flat disc with an upturned edge (ice wall holding the level oceans inside).
That then asks if the flat earth is the actual Earth why have people not gone out to the ice wall and photographed or filmed the edge or what's on the other side? Even if the edge is completely restricted the circumference is so large it would be impossible to monitor all of it so in theory if enough people attempted it it should be possible to provide undeniable proof, especially nowadays when it's nearly impossible to remove something that's been uploaded to the internet. What would also be the benefit for the largest cover-up in human history to fool the populace into thinking the planet is a globe instead of flat? Even if it is flat it doesn't seem getting everyone to admit it changes anything compared to letting them continue believing it's a globe.

Let me debunk you fast 10:50 - using the drawing you supplied (cheers) Before lets start by analysing the drawing, its 4 boxes high and the plane is basically in the middle, realistically the plane would be much higher as your POV would be standing on that middle box/line representing the horizon, not the plane. Now, lets imagine the plane is in the middle of the 1st box from the top and the sun is the circle in the middle which would be setting and the lines are the sunrays. If the plane is flying around box 1, wouldnt the sun be now underneath it and lighting the underside of the plane Dave? Now you debunk me :) your 10:50 and 10:30 diagrams debunk your 11:30 diagram 😅

If an airplane is illuminated from below, is independend of your POV. Either the light hits the plane from below, or it doesn't. It has nothing to do with perspective or anything subjective.
Standing at the seaside you can’t see the curvature of the horizon because the earth is too big……..but you can watch a boat disappear over the curve at 3 miles!?! 🤔. Yea, makes perfect sense now. 🤦🏼♂️

Still, the circumference of latitudes are shorther than the equator, north AND south of it... like you would expect it on a globe. But not on a flat plane.

Common commercial jets travel from South America to New Zealand in 12 hours. If flat earth were true, they would have to travel at supersonic speed (and cross North America), which never happens.
Flat earthers always ignore that on a flat wonderland those flight paths would also go to the Northern Hemisphere which doesn't happen in reality. And of course, they also ignore that navigation and flight plans are based on the spherical earth.

An absolutley top explanation as usual. However, I only have a single nitpick, and that's regarding the caustic reflections from water on the underside of objects. If you are close to the waves, then yes, you could, in the right circumstances, see caustic reflections and get the dappled, rippled effect you saw on the underside of the umbrella. At the vast distances between a plane in flight and an ocean those caustic reflections would get averaged out, as the ocean‘s surface would appear to get progressively smoother with the waves get smaller with perspective, ultimately acting as a roughened mirror. Obviously, Flat Earthers are disingenuous morons, who are like the power trip amongst their followers, or are sadly deluded. But I wanted to flag this before Flerfs try and use this to debunk the whole thing. Other than that, a solid explanation, particularly when viewed with the other videos on this channel.
Coriolis force only works on a circular object. If the earth was a two dimensional circular object, flushing the toilet in the southern hemisphere would result in the same rotation as the northern hemisphere.
