Oddly I never knew they were in a show, so I didn't know the dynamic of the performers... but from the first moment I saw them, Yunah seems like the (pardon the phrase) sexy big sister... like she is a little out of place like you say. If they were to be darker (a bit gothy rather than girlcrush... like... Dreamcatcher?) you might see Wonhee being a Gahyeon little sister (sort of a Wednesday character). The others could pull it off already I think, Yunah in her sleep (!!) and the others with a little styling. Even young Iroha feels like she could be the cold-killer type --- think Red Velvet Yeri? I still like them. The cute music isn't really disappointing if you never had the show --- which brings up the question "STOP WITH ALL THE STUPID SURVIVAL SHOWS CAUSE IT'S A DUMB WAY TO FORM A SINGING GROUP". (it's a question in my head)
Tell us Wonyoung is your ult bias without telling us she is your ult bias. If you had the capacity to be unbiased, imagine that, you would realize the key aspect to Wonyoung that puts a "negative focus" on her is when you watch her performances and demeanor, she becomes almost a caricature of an idol. The over-exaggeration of aegyo type gestures comes across as disingenuous almost to the point of mockery. She has a bad tendency, almost sub-consciously, to embellish every aspect of a dance move to be "cute" and it doesn't come off as natural and seems forced. She literally tries to draw attention away from her other members. A good example of this are the Lionheart fancam's and compare Wonyoung's to Gaeuls. If you pay attention, you can frequently spot where Wonyoung will shorten or miss movements for the sake of adding "cutesy" embellishments. She strives for stage presence and becomes a distraction, she could learn a lot by watching other idols such as Miyeon, Winter, or Ryujin (or any Itzy member haha)
Aoa debuted in 2012 but they didn't have a sexy concept till later. Miniskirt was released in 2014 and chanmi was 18 when it was released. The first two years in AOA's career were the generic 2012 like concepts but also them as a band! There are questionable dance moves but nothing on the same level as mini skirt. EXID too, Jeonghwa was 20 when they released up and down which was a significant concept change since their earlier stuff. If you want to argue that every night was mature too, she was 18 in that video. I think a better example would have been 9muses.

Moonbyul always wears suits...Karina shows too much skin, Yuna wears hip pads...Soojin lost weight...it's never ending. The issue isn't with the idols or the companies, ..Gaeul got attacked on how she ate a burger...seriously.. Knets praise one day and harass the next. As for Coachella, if you watch the end of their first week performance, the members were proud and happy and the audience had a great time...then the rabid knets attacked them non stop and you could visibly see their mood and energy drained during the second week perfornance, Fans should not be destructive... if you don't like a group, move onto another that you do like, There are plenty of others to choose from and trust me, those idols of the groups that get harassed won't miss you. Easy Peasy.
This is just how a group made up of members voted individually is gonna work, they're not made to work together. This is precisely why this shows used to havw vote manipulation. People just vote for their favorite so the group is gonna end up having members that appeal to different preferences and therefore fit different concepts and don't work the best together in a performance
Yes, the younger Idols are easier to control, they are perfect for the cute concept and the cute concept might be trending, but they also have no other option than to embrace the cutesy concept since there are underage members. Once they're adults they can promote a new concept for the group, but for now they don't need something else
BP members each have their own traits & personalities, but they're actually working good together. They all knew each other's role. They're well aware of each others' strength & weakness. So their professionlaism as a grp is shown most of the times. Aometimes though, when one member seems off or not up for the idol task, the whole grps energy is also affected but the remaining members are working together so as not to disrupt the balance. Reality is, BP and all other kpop rps Are not meant to last forever. Sooner or later despite the massive success, ecah members are bound to drift away sincw outgrowing each other is part of life's journey. So it's reasonable Enough That we as viewers keep seeing the differences of BP members As time goes by, we claim they‹re all 4 big different personalities bcoz That's how or what BP is about. YHS is well aware of this & imo, he wouñdn't put the 4 ladies together in a grp if he knew they 4 can't have synergy. These ladieS are bound to follow different paths in life so i don't see any problem If they go solo. Who wouldn't be pissed off when they're one of the popular kpop groups with a strong, good, brand image & concept but their skillse is sub par & non existent at best!! Its honestly dissapointing, this just furthermore prove that kpop stans in general only want the visuals, the choreo, the easy sounding songs & totally disregarding the importance of having both talent & skill in order to be competent in the music industry. They maybe idols but kpop isn't jpop. Kpop still have music to sell, they use vocals here not just the variety show talent nor dancing skills. No matter what excuse y'all give them, Le sserafim is indeed one of kpop's vocally weak groups. Their strongest vocalists are sub par at best then the rest have non existent vocal skills, they can dance but they're not going anywhere if cd is what they sell here. No one is willing to listen to a cdr full of flat & screeching voices & most probably squeacking shoes on the floor. At the vey end of the day, kpop still uses vocal skills in order to sell their product so if the groups y'all stan is like le sserafim, then please, don't ever speak on other groups vocals when this is who you stan. Y'all love to praise the bare minimum so much & its sad to see how low the standards have become. Its just like saying that kpop is only visual when popular groups from 1st, 2nd & 1st quarter of 3rd gen consists of vocally competent idols. Being able to sing well, dance well & be beautiful can co-exist.
Regarding Namjoon's accusations of Islam phobia I think that yes it is that "fucking hard", as you put it. I would be libid if people accused me of such a horrible thing for posting a song. Mistakes and ignorance about certain topics are nothing new, so why would he have to act all nice and sorry for people who slandered him? Of course he would be pissed, and sometimes people don't deserve an apology but a call out. In short, the "PD's Pick". PD's choose trainees that VISUALLY fits the concept they planned out BUT not the talent qualities needed in order to properly execute the said concept. Kpop stans will say they want "talented" trainees but once they see a trainee being "nice, cute, hardworking & funny" they will immediately emphatize with them knowing the fact that the "pitiful" trainee is 100% not yet ready to debut. Kpop stans are hypocrites, they're also the reason why there's a lot of filler members in groups formed through survival shows. They only care about the personality, dance & visual but once they get dissapointed with their vocals, they will point fingers to others.
I wanna throw in my two cents as a minor who is also a dancer on the minor situation with le serrafim: 1. How they handled the garam situation was atrocious and reading her message online where she talked about getting “to live her dream even if it was just for those two weeks” broke me. 2. In terms of dances that minors are doing, I personally feel kind of conflicted. On one hand, it’s absolutely not good that a company is involved and making the decisions for the members and then displaying that. But on the other hand, I know I’m perfectly fine with doing dances like that and so are a lot of other people I know. I feel like adults have a tendency to almost infantilize older teens as if they don’t know what sex is, understand it, and have a sexuality. Therefore, they shouldn’t be the ones talking about how minors need to be pure and not display themselves like that, when they are 1 or two years away from being grown adults. Also, pedos and creeps will sexualize whatever they want regardless of how much or little a minor is doing, they always find a way. In conclusion, I guess what I’m trying to say is that in most cases minors should be allowed to express themselves and their sexuality, especially as they get closer to adulthood like 16-17. But if a company is involved, then that can be problematic because it becomes less of a choice for the minors involved and more like a job they have to do. This is just my two cents as a 17 yr old dancer who is very passionate about this subject lol, thx for reading this far!

I am a user of the space you mentioned and lots of people, myself included, found out about it through awareness content. Well actually the concept was decided before r u next so practically the survival show was to find members who fit the concept well and wonhee just fit it perfectly. It was said since 2021 illit creative directors have been planning this concept but I guess they could have at least adjusted the concept
Honestly its not a big deal for me. Sometimes i watch videos with titles "___ moments" because i just find it cute, and sometimes i even read fanfictions on wattpad because its genuinely fun (and hear me out some of them are actually good, like those that arent smut) but what suprises me is that some ppl actually think these ppl are together😭
people hate anyone who stands out, we've seen it with so many idols - they hated goo hara for having lunches with men and called her boy-obsessed because other female idols wouldn't have lunches with male idols so it was shocking to the public, they now hate ahyeon from babymonster because her dancing was more sharp from her other group members and she would sing and rap really confidently (the "overperforming" scandal) so now ahyeon has toned down her performance way more in order not to stand out. people are never happy when someone stands out because they are a "pick me", which honestly kills creativity and if I were an idol getting such hate for the most normal things I would literally quit cuz wtf people
also obv it's misogyny - people hate successful women and will do anything to find any sort of flaw in them. if all of these things that people hate women for were done by a man, they would have never been treated like this. first example: soojin from gidle got kicked out from the group (also kim garam) for alleged accusations that the idol allegedly did in school - female idol gets kicked out from the group and possibly blacklisted from the industry even after disproving the allegations (on her own because the company doesn't want to deal with it). lucas from nct has allegations made against him, that he did something bad as an adult, the company puts him on hiatus and quietly kicks him out of the group AND THEN DEBUTS HIM AS A SOLOIST. I understand that a new debut would usually be made only if the idol agreed, so soojin (and garam) probably didn't want to debut under the company that got rid of her, but the fact that lucas still has so many fans even after NOT DISPROVING the allegations (he said he was sorry for the situation, which could refer to the allegations or the fact that the fans had to go through his hiatus), either way, his company welcomes him back with open arms, along with many fans. plus, let's not forget that so many idol criminals that were part of the burning sun scandal are trying to return to the industry and they still have many fans who support them and will turn a blind eye for something that THEY HAD BEEN CONVICTED FOR. it's like if a man makes a mistake, it's not a mistake just a happy accident, if a woman makes a mistake, burn her at the stake

Its horrible to say, as i personally believe thta Giselle is a beautiful girl, but i believe that netizens just dont like her visuals. Ive read thousands of people calling her a visual hole in aespa (which, lets be forreal, its one of the prettiest group out there) and that hed visuals did not match the groups one and for this reason a lot of knet started hating her. I als9 believe that being half-japanese, with a very western humor/vibe, being the only one that didnt showcaxe vocals during their early era and was the worst dancer played a significant role, but nothing will compare to how much netz care about an idol visual. Its the same reason why Sana, Mina and Momo are loved (especially Sana) while Chaeryeong (a korean, from Itzy) was hated.

What are the members supposed to do to defend garam? They can’t do anything other than differ to source/hybe to handle it. Hybe did put up a good front to fight it, but in the end if the day. We don’t know what the behind the scenes was like, what her parents thought, etc. I think they had long talks w her to decide on if she wanted to stay or go. And I’m sure the parents wanted her to leave to help her recover from the onslaught of hate. I’m sad that it happened to her. Respectfully sadly le seraffims company lost a chance with Garam because she had good vocals (like in fearless) and after she left lssrfm changed their music i guess to move on from Garam but if she have maybe gotten help with denying the rumours(sadly when she did it was too late and she got kicked.)just maybe it wouldn’t be this bad for le sserafim overall I believe the hate is absolutely annoying…I don’t enjoy their music but whats the point people always point out looks for hate🙏🏼😭
literally agreed on all your points. i think hybe focuses way too much on their perfect choreography over vocals. like besides new jeans i haven't been able to see consistent decent vocals. like yeah i get ppl are upset from their lacking vocal skills but they should be mad at hybe rather than the girls bc hybe doesn't really train their idols. i don't really like hybe's music style anyways. i literally mainly listen to 1st-3rd gen groups since 4th-5th gen is not my style
Honestly, the whole RM 'Bad Religion' scandal wasn't even that bad. I think it should be on tier 2. The song is about unrequited love and thinking highly of the person you love. I think you should spend some time searching up the lyrics for a better understanding. I can understand that this may upset some Muslims, but there's no problem with a person calling a religion bad and that's not something he should apologize for, especially with the many immoral rules and unnecessary restrictions made by these religions. If a song or anyone criticizes or speaks up about dislike of a religion, it's perfectly fine. It's been ingrained in us to never disrespect a religion ever, but have you ever questioned the amount of damage these religions have caused? Especially one like Islam that encourages the killing of apostates and terrorizes women.
I haven't finished the vid yet so idk if you mentioned this already but fans assuming an idol's sexuality is such a big problem when it comes to shipping these idols. It's ok if it's done in a joking way or a non-serious manner but some fans are really serious about it (e.g. the winrina situation) and they get disappointed or even mad when an idol dates someone or interacts with someone other than the one they're shipping them with. These fans would label idols gay and when they turn out not to be, they call it queerbaiting. They throw that word around carelessly when we should be focusing on actual queerbaiting! These fans are deceiving themselves. We don't know these idols personally and we are not qualified to talk about their sexuality as if we are sure about it. This can make idols really uncomfortable and people don't realize how unsettling it can be for every move of yours to be analyzed by crazy strangers who think that you're in love with your members. Again, I think it's fine if they don't take the ship seriously or if it's platonic. They could be gay but who are we to talk about it? This is just the "women and men can't be friends" problem all over again but with a different formula. Edit: unrelated but has anyone told you that you kinda look like vernon's sister?
