I have the same desk from Ikea. I haven't put monitor arm mounts though because I was nervous it wouldn't support it. Guess that shouldn't be an issue looking at yours?
Secretlab is an overrated chair brand. The hype is not worth it when you developed the back pain. If you spend hours sitting daily just get the real high end ergonomic chair like Embody, Leap or Gesture.
I really like your set up im currently running a couple q acoustic 3030i thru 3.5-Rca from my pc should i look at getting a dac inbetween or wouldn that realy matter? The amp im using btw is the (Fosi audio bt20a) And if i where to look at a dac what would i recommend under lets say a €100/€125 If your reading this and have any advice have a wonderful day😁 The amp alreay give plenty of juice to 6/8ohm speakers so the power is no isseu just wondering if a dac would realy improve sound quality
I have a dx racer I’ve had for about 10 years. I fell for the hype and ordered it. Is probably the one of the most uncomfortable computer chairs I’ve sat in. Too hard, too narrow. I ended up giving it to my daughter. Note that she’s off at college I’ve been using her desk and chair for remote work. I get leg pain and swelling if I try to sit in it for a full work day and have to take frequent feet up breaks. My lower back definitely feels a great amount of pressure. Very durable sturdy chair just really uncomfortable which defeats the purpose entirely. I’m also looking at getting an embody chair and hope it helps me be able to stay comfortable while I work and play games.
Interesting bit on multimedia latency: meaning you can’t use this DAC as a “swiss knife” in a 2.1 HT setup for, say, watching movies or gaming? This latency will be problematic on all digital inputs like Toslinks? 🤔 Never heard that before. Is this a common thing with R2R DACs or with the proprietary digital implementation by Denafrips?
Denafrips DACs use an adaptive FIFO buffer and reclocking. This technique yields good jitter reduction; however, latency is increased. Denafrips have updated the Ares/Enyo firmware a few times since this review which has lowered the latency of the DAC. It's still not perfect, but is very useable as a "fulltime" DAC. The firmware update also improved the sound quality.
@@Myxo14 Thank you! There’s still a “warning” on Denafrips’ FAQ page regarding the FIFO buffer and Reclocking Latency: “The latency may have an effect to video/audio lip sync, commonly known as lip-sync. If you plan to use DDC/DAC mainly for gaming/video streaming, it may not be suitable. If you use the DDC/DAC purely for stereo music listening, it would work perfectly.”
pleeeeeeease don't buy 'gaming'/car chairs...you want one ONLY because...well...- because you have been (ones again) bamboozled by some clever advertising - that's all - there is NOTHING more to it...
@@Ryyuuzakii 'gaming' chairs are 100% wast of money and if that's not enough: they are 100% BAD for you/for your body - thay are designet for look and look only - nothing more, nothing less. no one would ever sell a good ergonomic chair in order to buy a gaming chair - it's ALWAYS the other way around and there is a reason for it. no one would EVER come to this conclusion on their own: 'I want to sit on a car-seat at home while gaming/doing some office work etc.' - NO...ONE ;-) - it's just clever advertising and most people are just gullible. to me, Herman Miller Embody is a 600$ chair, the rest is 12years warranty and you can sell it after 10 years and still get a few 100$ for it - no problem! ('gaming' chair: worthless from the beginning, bad for you from the beginning, 100% waste of money). in short: yes, I would buy it and if you devide the cost of it by 12 years of warranty (4380 days) it will cost you less than 0,3$ pr day - and that's a GREAT DEAL! - for your body AND for your wallet
I prayed to God to fix my back, the next day as I was going to buy a used Zody, I found a leap v2 closer and cheaper,(50 dollars) Cured my back as soon as I sat on it. It's just a normal chair that's perfect.
Great review ! Thank you ! I am glad you mentioned the USB cable that is included to connect your MX5 to your desktop PC. I would like to connect the MX5 to my laptop, - how would I go about that ? would it also be with that same USB cable ? I'm a bit fuzzy on that. I originally thought I would have to use the headphone jack on my laptop as the connection between the laptop and the MX5, but I think I'm really wrong on that.... seems the USB cable is what will work on a laptop also. Thanks for any help ! Great video, thank you !
Hi Frosty, the same usb cable will be used to connect the mx5 to your laptop (the mx5 will then become the audio device for the laptop). It will be like connecting a mouse to your laptop via USB rather than using the track pad. You won't need to touch the headphone jack on your laptop. Thanks for checking out the video 🙌🏿
Im in search of an adjustable desk right now and i am mad jealous of this. Gas spring adjustable desk is an amazing best of both worlds between hand cranked and electrical desks. It is really, terribly sad i cannot even find anyone selling this in my country.
The screen ratio would be off without it. I actually like the black space as it lowers the viewable screen (rather than being so close to the ceiling).
First actual video which show how to manage cables vs Cutt ng your paper card house. I don't really call that cable management. Thanks for showing a proper management video
Great video! I currently have an Aeron classic which I like but I do feel the front plastic bar after a while. But I do love that it forces me to sit ergonomically. Do you feel the leap fabric is hotter than the embody? I’m moving and my new place won’t have central AC. I’m considering the embody as it seems a bit more comfortable than an Aeron while having the rocking motion I love with the Aeron
Why does the video compare Leap V2 with the Aeron but the final verdict mentions the Embody? Expected the final verdict to conclude whether the Aeron or Leap V2 is better but anyways great video😂
So are You using Embody more than Leap chair? I’ve bought Embody myself, came from Ikea Markus, which I find awful. What are Your thoughts on Leap vs Embody after few years?
Lovely editing and great voice (You should try voice acting and dubbing in movies). I have a 60 inch sit-stand desk. 50% work work is coding and remaining to prepare solution/system designs (building flow charts and visualization). Planning to pair an ultra-wide curved monitor (30 inches) with a vertical monitor (22 inches). Yours look similar setup with eye level centered to the center of the curved monitor. From both ergonomic and aesthetics perspective, would this be a good choice?
Thanks for the comment! The three monitors is going to be a lot of screen real estate on your desk, but I feel function should be the priority of any desk setup over aesthetics...that said I think the three monitors will look great. If you're coding, the vertical monitor is a must in my opinion. Good luck with your setup 🙌🏿
I’m a guitarist too - I’ve always gravitated towards desk chairs that have pivoting arms so that I can move them out of the way and play guitar while sitting in the chair with my back against the backrest. That said, most desk chairs with that feature - for whatever reason - are cheap and not comfortable. I’ve eyed the Embody for a while but haven’t yet pulled the trigger for that reason. Are the arms on the Embody able to adjust low/out enough to where you can play guitar with your back against the backrest, or do you have to sit forward, closer to the edge of the chair, in order to play while sitting down? Lovely setup, by the way. Very clean
