Why is this the only example? IMO it challenged political and religious though. That means changing everything you think. That is a bridge to far for most people so it is better to quietly let stuff die. There are very few that had the huge amount of resources and money that could produce this.
Captain Bligh was a cruel murdering tyrant and killed the sailors on his ships and torture them without a care. Several times he is on record as having a sailor's foot nailed to the deck for a minor infraction. In one case, British sailors were given daily rations of rum several times a day and one of the men stood in line twice to get a double ration. His foot wss nailed to the deck for 3 days! The mutineers set Bligh and 18 of his loyal crewmen adrift in a small boat. Bligh, however, was a skilled navigator and managed to sail them nearly 4,000 miles to Timor, in the Dutch East Indies. Say what you want about how terrible of a man he was but he was one hell of a sailor!

I don't think she was actually able to kill him. She appeared from no where back again. He handed her a gun and my guess is that that gun could not kill him.
