Hi my name is Amber, I live in Beautiful Northern Michigan! You will likely find me traveling all over on my bike, being out in nature inspires much of my creativity. I decided to start this channel the Thrifty Journal Shop so I could share my love of art -especially making junk journals and creating in them. I love to thrift for old books that need a new beginning and I love all things 70s and 80s. Some would say I’m a old Soul. My journals are made of thrifted treasures, junk items and vintage materials.

I love this idea and I can’t wait to try it! Now I regret having thrown out a bunch of junk mail envelopes earlier today! I love the watercolor technique - your colors are so pretty. I love the candy stickers and the silk flowers, and I love the idea of using the translucent windows as a frame for photos! TYFS!

Your books are so real! Really cool and colourful. I also love colour. I know a lot of people use kits etc, which are wonderful, but as a preference i so love these real journals. Im now a subscriber 😊❤😊

I love your altered comp book and planners! The stenciling looks so cool - really neat touch, and I love how you have cakes on so many of the pictures in the comp book you showed us! I loved the planner made out of the paper bag and the planner made out of the rug! What a neat idea!
TYFS! I created a planner from a vintage Readers Digest but I am not a planner girlie and never have been. Creating the planner was fun and I carry it around everywhere I go but I still only use it for jotting down notes etc. I am glad that you shared your process. Have a wonderful week!
