10:08 "I respond rarely but this time shady bout to sound off like a fuckin cocked semi glock demi-god" that part always gives me goosebumps. The beat climaxing, the bars, the cadence, the genuine visceral nature of the word play. It's PEAK Eminem.
Fame calling again and he's handing over a couple burdens to others like some of the music!, like what's to come in Clouds the mixtape the first song clouds and the first verse "calmly I feel myself evolving appalling so much I'm not divulging been stalling I think I hear applauding mixtapes aren't my thing but it's been awfully exhausting hanging on to songs this long is daunting, which caused me to have to make a call I thought was ballsy"
The cart sitting directly across from the other is like a mirrored image only reflecting his older self like in let you down, which is also refrenced in why and the search by the line gotta taste of the fame had to pump my stomach throw it back up like I don't want it.
It was a shock and didn't know what to do the first time hearing let you down was in the car on the way to way and had to pull over and almost threw up, had no idea what was bout to happen hearing that song and was never expecting it at all.
Listen I love that u wana share this with him and it seems to have moved him like it does so many of us but when you keep pausing it saying "just wait... It gets deeper" it cheapens the reaction someone would have if you just let them listen and watch
Bless your sis, I’m a recovering addict. I’m 42 and did drugs and alcohol over half my life. Seeing someone young appreciating a message like this gives me hope in humanity. Thank you 🙏
Generally when someone listens to this song for the first time, ideally you want them to not know it's about a shooting, and to think it's a song about Eminem dealing with anxiety before a concert, so that the moment the twist is revealed has maximum emotional impact, so that the shock and disgust can drive the song's message home. The idea is for the listener to be horrified, sickened, and angered into wanting to take action. But in the case of someone who was actually there when the shooting happened, they clearly don't need to be any more impacted by that message than they already are, so they deserve fair warning. This would be a brutal thing to be surprised with a SECOND time.
Thats the problem with mainstream music true artists like hopsin, tom McDonald, DAX, Sampson will never get any radio exposure because they are too real and make people think 🤔
Can you do a reaction to these songs James Dean- Upchurch Desparado- Upchurch Writer's Room- Upchurch Concert for the Crickets- Upchurch Change in the Ashtray- Upchurch
