Love the videos, I saw a clip of me bowling and I am someone who goes in to out the way you show at the end with a slightly bent arm. What would be the cause of this and do you have any recommendations to get the arm coming over straighter and more upright. Thanks, Josh
where did you get those agility poles, Ive used them before at lords really helpful for me as I have lateral flexion when I bowl, when we used them at lords my head would often smack onto the poles indicating my head falling over. My club have the ones with the spikes on it but can only be used with groundsmans permission during outdoor nets which is rare, I would prefer the ones in this video with the base
I wish people like you are more involved at the grass roots level in India. The academy setup here is terrible and good coaches like you will make an immediate difference.
These 30-40 seconds i spent watching the video helped me more than hours spent watching other 'bowling' videos on the internet. You are a good coach mate. Thank you ❤
Hey stubzy I am a subscriber from India and I wanna ask that when I go in my action in the braced front leg position my arm just blocks and doesn't completes the whole rotation how can I fix it my coaches are not able to help me in it i really think u can help me
I put it on my instagram @the_fast_bowler. Im not great with social media so I often don't get to post everything on every platform. But instagram is my main one
Some brace the leg naturally. But its instinctive to bend the knee to cushion the landing especially for bowlers with a jump. There are some triggers such as trying to slide the front foot backwards on landing, or dragging the back foot forward. For kids, at what age should start trying to brace the front leg?
I'd start as early as possible, but you can start simply with teaching running mechanics and stationary positions. At a young age their bodyweight and loading is very low so its not as dangerous as it may appear to be.
I disagree, and I used the term 'hover' not stumble - which is something Steffan's talked about when a bowler lands unbalanced at BFC. Different situations.
