We are a piston aircraft engine overhaul facility located in Wasilla, Alaska. Here are some videos to show a few of the things we do around our shop. We hope you enjoy!
A close-up view of the installation of ONE pushrod tube, and a close-up view of checking ONE valve lash would be helpful. Watching you install twelve pushrods in fast motion from across the room is less than worthless.
I wanted to see the details of the bearing Tang's on the rod and the cap to see if your installing them correctly! And bearing clearance with a bore gauge, and mic the crank and also side clearance!!!!
If you are just replacing pushrod tube seals does valve lash need to be reset because you have to remove the pushrod and rocker arm? Just curious. My shop is doing this on my 520.
Good question! No need to recheck the valve lash if all you are replacing is the seals. However you would need to be sure that the pushrods go back in the same spot (exhaust vs intake). Also on a lot of 470/520 engines you can’t slide the rocker shaft back in without deflating the hydraulic lifter.
There are a lot of fault... There are two measurements point for cylinder max wideness.. And also where is your measurement tools calibre tag ? Which authority authorized you ?
