Got one with a broken Af-s motor for a bargain and paired with my old TC201 I get very amazing pics of the moon tonight definitely worth 150$ Canadian!
Someone is selling me Camry hybrid 2008 - driven 1,24000 miles in USA brought to UAE after flat accident and now the front is repaired … I need your quick opinion about it pls ..???? Pls guide
As of April 2022, I no longer have this vehicle, lost in an accident. It was still running and driving fine, fuel economy was still good, but starting to drop off at little. Insurance declared it a total loss, due to repairs going over $10k Cdn, which far exceeded the current value, even in the current market of high vehicle prices. It had 246,797km on the odo. Definitely my favorite car, miss driving it. Currently driving the replacement 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid that I ordered in 2021, long before the accident.
@@0505070410 The gas tank is 65L, but when showing empty it takes 55L, never put in more than that. I would often get 750-850KM per tank (best tank was over 900km) depending on the season, mostly city and low speed driving. Highway driving got similar range. Average fuel economy was between 6-6.5L/100km.
@@Combatpzman I have never owned a hybrid vehicle, but it doesn’t seem too impressive for a hybrid car. I was expecting upward to at least a 1000kms. I currently drive a 2007 Lexus IS250(2.5L V6 Engine) with a 64L tank same as yours, which gives me around 600kms at best. I was thinking of downgrading to one of these hybrid camrys thinking it would be a huge boost on the milage, but the numbers you’ve stated don’t seem like they differ too much to consider the downgrade.. keeping in mind I drive a more powerful and luxurious vehicle at the moment. Any other hybrid vehicle you would recommend in similar price range that would allow me to reach that 1000+ kms range ?
@@0505070410 You have to remember this is an older model, 2008-2011 tech. The newer vehicles are much better 4.5-5L/100km, and likely would get 1000km+ per tank. Haven't driven them, so I cannot say for sure. If you want Lexus build and styling, look for a Lexus Hybrid. The only hybrids from the era that got 1000+km per tank, sorry to say but it is the Prius. I wouldn't buy a hybrid that old (2007-2010 era) now though, batteries are getting old enough that replacement during the time of ownership is almost going to be a must.

i'm a new SB-800 user. I see you're changing the flash power, but can you do this if you're not in M mode on the flash like you showed here? I'd be in A priority on my Nikon and TTL flash. How can I modify the power of the flash (1/1) or does it somehow know since it's mounted to the camera? Thanks
If you are using auto metering on the flash you can push the plus and minus buttons to force over or under exposure from what output level the camera thinks the flash should use.
Thanks for making this video. I am looking at getting this lens for my F6. I photograph wild horses and the PF lenses will only work wide open on the film SLR cameras. I was hoping it would be reasonably sharp at 400mm F4, but sounds like this may not be the case. Any more thoughts/info since the posting of this video two years ago?
Здравствуйте! Есть объектив Tаmron SР 70-300 mm f/4-5.6 Di VС USD для Nikon. Всё работает кроме автофокуса. Стaбилизaция paботает, как и фoкуcирoвкa в ручном peжиме бeз пpоблeм. А вот автофокус не работает. В чем может быть причина?
What is the triangle with the ! in the middle about? I googled it and supposedly it's low washer fluid as that's the message. Car lot I'm looking at was close to closing and had none to fill it. Just want to make sure before we dump money into newer tech. Drives out quite nicely!
Just checked my manual. The triangle with ! is the master warning light. If it is a problem, there should be a message with it. The manual lists possible messages as, Low Engine Oil Pressure, Check Hybird System, Water Temp (it's too high), Hybrid System Overheat, Check S/T Lock (steering lock malfunction), and Check VSC System (another hybrid issue), Door Open (any door), trunk open, moonroof open (if there is one), Parking Brake is on, Low Washer Fluid, MAINT REQD Soon, Low T.BATT (hybrid battery has low charge), and SHIFT TO P When starting.
I wound up finding an 04 Lexus ES330 SportDesign for a bargain basement price as it was a theft recovery. Cash on the barrel head was $4700 out the door. 138k.
It’s a little smaller than the gas only model, no doubt. Still no trouble with full sized luggage bags, and plenty of gear. The pass through is still good for skis and other longer items.
Another year of ownership has passed. No problems with the car or batteries (hybrid traction battery, or 12v deep cycle AGM) 5 years after buying the car second hand. Had to replace the windshield wipers, the original owner had put some cheap aftermarket ones on the car, so I had OEM ones installed as a replacement. So much nicer. In the fall of 2020 I had new tires installed (it came with a new set of General Tire AltiMax RT43s from the dealer I bought it from). I put 60.8k km / 37k miles on those tires (they are rated for 120k km/75k miles. There was tread left, but it was starting to get a little loose in the cold and wet. About what I would expect from a set of inexpensive car dealer tires, and 5-6 years is about how long a set of tires should be used, so they got the expected life span. Replaced them with Michelin Cross Climate+ all weather tires, not much need for full snow tires here in Greater Vancouver. The Michelin tires have much better handling, during the winter I noticed a change from around 6L/100km to 6.5L-7/100km. The tires have higher rolling resistance, which makes them better in winter weather. Since temperatures have started to rise again as spring approaches fuel economy is returning to normal levels between 6-6.5L/100km.
Aperture was open the same at 300 as it was at 70, but the apparent aperture to the sensor changed because the aperture moved away from the sensor when you zoomed.
Depends on how I drive, the tires on the car, and the weather conditions. In good summer weather, I can get 900km on 54L of gas. In winter, it’s between 750-800km.
How can you check if the battery is ok? I just saw one for sale and am interested to take a look at it after seeing your review. But I really wouldn't know how to check if the electric motor is ok or if the hybrid battery is still OK. This is probably the only hybrid camry in my country so any dealer wouldn't know much about it. Any tips on that?
There are some third party OBDII scanners that can supposedly read the information, but I've never seriously looked into it myself. If you cannot find that, you would need a Toyota technician with Toyota Techstream software to check the traction (electric motor) battery.
That’s a hell of a deal! I’m looking to purchase an ‘09 with just under 340,000 km. The owner states the engine and hybrid battery are in good working order, apart from the usual 1qt of oil it consumes between changes. Anything I should look out for which would signal an imminent demise of critical components?
@@shift2rockz858 tbh my experience hasn't been the greatest with my 07 camry hybrid. A week after purchasing the screen went out, and then a few months I had to have the hybrid battery replaced which cost me 1.4k . The place I went to ended up being a scam sort of, and the battery only lasted 10 months and currently needs to be replaced once again. It's in the mechanic now with someone more trustworthy. If you really plan on getting a used hybrid car be ready to pay for high cost fixes, and go get it diagnosed at a shop that specializes in hybrid cars. When it was working, the gas mileage was great, I used it for work which was a 30 minute commute to and another 30 back. A full tank would last me 2 weeks in a 4 day work week. It is a great car, runs smoothly and is silent . In total I have invested about 7k with the repairs and maintenance, for that price I think I could have found something newer or with fewer miles at least. As soon as it is fixed, I plan on selling it for 5k-7k. I might lose money, but I won't have to deal with the hefty price of owning it. If I went back in time I wouldn't have purchased this car, it was a red flag knowing that the ac didn't work which is why I didn't want it, but I let my parents convince me it was a good deal and I am now paying for it.
Especially in today's economy, if you have money laying around, I say go for it, but if not owning a hybrid car will make your pockets hurt. I'm personally going to look into buying a regular car, a few extra bucks on gas is better than the replacement of that hybrid battery.
@@shift2rockz858 I wouldn't trust what the owner has to say, the guy I bought it from was near tears when he handed over the keys, people will say anything to sell their car. I just wouldn't want for the same thing that happened to me happen to you.
@@kuj106 hey, appreciate the lengthy response. I’m sorry to hear your experience hasn’t been ideal. Considering you bought one of the most reliable vehicles on the road today. Took your advice along with a few others and decided to pass on it as the hybrid battery was the biggest concern. There’s no doubt that they are great vehicles when they’re working, and the owner may have very well been a genuinely honest person, but having a limited budget to play with gave me no other choice. Hope you recoup most of your money and wish you all the best on your next vehicle purchase!
That depends on what you consider high fuel consumption. Depending on driving style, fuel consumption of the hybrid model can easily be much lower than the average sedan from the time period. The standard gas model, was about average for the time period.
@@Combatpzman I assume the AC works on battery mode in traffic just like the Prius? So in an hour of traffic it runs on battery and then when the battery is low, it turns the engine on for a minute and then the gas engine dies again? And it turns on once in an hour like the Prius? I live in one of the worst road traffic in the world where 1-2 km can take an hour to cover......will it be ideal for that? How many minutes do you reckon the gas engine will turn on in an hour? How to check battery health? Can you recommend a reasonably priced OBD scanner? Thank you.
@@richcruz936 Didn't stay on battery for an hour while using AC, maybe 15 minutes, runs the gas for 4-5, then back onto battery, in that cycle. Maybe the newer Camrys can do that, but not the 2007-2011 Camry Hybrid. As for battery health, I never used an OBD device to check battery health, it was never an issue while I owned it (lost in accident earlier this year). Thought about it, didn't worry about it. If I was buying something a 13-15 year old hybrid now maybe I would though. You need a high end scan tool or app though, since it needs to support the hybrid features, which is why I never got one, didn't seem worth the price to me. If you want to know what to get, Toyota Nations section on the Camry hybrid of that generation has the information you want with a search.
I found a 2008 Camry Hybrid in my area with 67,000 miles ( 107,000 km) being sold for $8,500 at a local dealership here in the United States. I emailed the dealer and they offered it for $8100. I still need to get it checked out but do you think it is a good deal? Have you had any issues with oil burning? Thank you and I appreciate your reviews.
I'm not familiar with the prices for the car on the US market, so I cannot say if it is a good deal or not. It's low miles, so it doesn't sound outlandish anyway. I haven't had to top up my oil between changes, but some have. Without driving the car for a while, an entire oil change interval, it might be hard to tell.
It’s a good deal cause the mileage is low and it’s a dealership. If it was a private party sale I’d say no more than 7000. I have a 2009 Hybrid Camry, I bought it with 70,000 miles back in 2018 for 6200 off a private seller. I’m at 95,000 miles today and still have had no issues at all mechanically except for an air conditioning leak.
Bought 2008 Camry Hybrid in Jan 2016 with 215K Kms. Engine was burning oil, got it to dealership for recall, they did oil change and sealed the system and told me to come back after 2000 kms; went back and was told it doesn’t burn enough oil to be fixed under warranty, so I did what I have been doing: Hot oil drain, fill with ATF in engine and ran idle for 15 min, drain oil, remove oil pan, clean it, put it back, new OEM filter and synthetic oil, change Transmission fluid and from that day the car is running very good; no problems at all, mind you that I do regular oil changes. It burns very little oil compared to before and running better than ever. It has 275K kms now with no other issues.
@@elizabethtudor9552 It's not a new bridge, it was built over 100 years ago,. It gets regular maintenance and is rated for vehicles up to 10 metric tons.
I am buying this lens tomorrow because from my research, it is a far higher quality lens than the standard Nikon AS-S 70-200mm F2 9G VR lens. Your video helped convince me the price was worth it. After all, I want every picture I take to be the very best and the lens is an IMPORTANT part of it.
