Thank you for All the details...It was perfect for what I was looking for! One of the things I was having trouble with was my zoom wouldn't work. Well....turns out it wouldn't work with any diffuser over it! :) Learning curves.....But is the very best most detailed video I've watched on the subject.
Depends on what camera you are using it with. If you are using a lower end camera, like the D3100/D5100 then you will need another flash (with commander mode), or wireless triggers.
Rebecca Flaherty Never hurts to look at more reviews. Regardless I agree with you, it is a great flash. I've had mine for several years now and it has been flawless in that time.
36MP is great, but unless you are a) cropping a lot or b) printing billboards, the difference between the D800 and 5D MKIII is almost unnoticeable, at anything beyond ISO100. My advice is, don't switch just for megapixels.
GAS = Gear Acquisition Syndrome can have that effect on people. The old saying "the grass is greener on the other side" also applies. Switching is very expensive, and is often not worth while. I understand it though. There were time when I wanted to switch to Canon, because I felt the D800 had too many megapixels. Go figure.
jasmine wong The SB-700 will work with the D3200, and isn't a bad choice. If you find you want a more powerful, flexible, flash than the built in unit then yes, the SB-700 is a good choice.
To use the flash off camera you need a compatible camera, such as a D70(s), D80, D90, D200, D300(s), D7000, D7100, D700, D8xx with commander mode for the built in flash, another flash set to commander mode (another SB-700, an SB-800, SB-900 or SB-910) or an SU-800.
Well this review has pissed me off! The Nikon menus look much, much more intuitive & easier to Navigate than my 600 EX-RTs,Why am I looking at Nikon if I have a Canon (5D MKIII ) ? Because I felt kicked in the teeth with the 5D MKIII,The D800 is a far better camera! Yep 22mp is a Piss take after 21mp after 3 years!!!
