Lidia suffered from a Hemorrhagic Stroke on November 28, 2019. This was Thanksgiving Day. We rushed her to the hospital closest to us. She was then transferred to the University of Utah - Utah Health Hospital where she underwent brain surgery. This channel is a video journal of her progress as she recovers from this stroke. You will see Lidia learn to walk again, to balance, how she exercises, and functions throughout the day. We will be sharing her experiences with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We will be going through how she deals with drop foot and muscle spasticity. We hope that you enjoy our channel.
Can do that now (4yrs after heammorhage), but walking's still terrible. Pain, spasticity, anxiety, fatigue, fear (weather in the UK). Still no help available.

Hello! I just saw this post! My husband had a hemorrhagic stroke July 2023....we just did our first round of botox for his right arm/hand and also right ankle/toes. It's only been 1 week so I"m excited to see the results. I see that it looks like you are using the FlintRehab AFO....we have that too, he loves it! Have you looked into the FlintRehab FitMi program for the house? It's great! I too have been documenting our journey....I plan to begin a post/blog......I appreciate you sharing and hope we can stay in touch through our journeys to encourage eachother and others! We will pray for her full recovery and restoration....declaring she is STRONG, HEALED and WHOLE! We all can overcome with continued determination and support!!!
Hi Lidia! Another hemorrhagic stroke survivor from June, 2017. You've improved so much and should be proud of yourself! You're already using a quad-cane! I have major balance issues and working on walking by myself. Watching your improvements is inspirational. So good to see you have helpful and encouraging Therapists!
How did her arm get to be so relaxed, i had my hemorrhagic stroke 5yrs ago, im 57now, I did therapy, never recovered much at all, had botox but my arm still contracted
I too had a hemorrhagic stroke in 2013 when I was 53. Now I am 64. SDK Online stroke awareness is my RU-vid channel. Please visit, subscribe and view the video 6 Fun activities for stroke survivors. One of the six is Gardening.
We always practice walking. Lidia has been doing squats. But she still gets tired fast. She can push the shopping cart around Walmart but by the time we are done, she’s tired. The key is to always press forward.
I'm still having a very difficult time with my left hand . I'm gonna get a deck of cards this just gave me some ideas to try ❤. Your walking is getting better and better!!!! Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing
