Mate I'm really loving these. I love the story that the sound alone can create in the mind, or I can choose to go with your story in the description. Either way it's an absolute trip! ❤
I really love this, it is so great as background to study. Great atmosphere exactly what I was looking for! You deserve more views! I send encouragement!
@theoysterhouseboys7082 Love this! Did you ever post any of the patch notes from the Mother-32, DFAM, and Subharmonicon? I would love to see some for inspiration and to see if it's possible to get anywhere close to the videos you have posted.
@@theoysterhouseboys7082Thanks! That would be great. Ya know, just to see the process and what you are doing to create the sonic soundscape. Would be a huge inspiration!
I don't understand why, when I connect either of my two sequencers to the 1 volt per octave input of my black VCO2, it drops two octaves. I've read the manual and there's no information about that. Do you have any idea what it could be?
Depending on the level of your input signal you can either plug it in directly, or use additional amplification (there are eurorack preamp modules for instance) to increase your input signal to eurorack levels. Conversely, you may need an attenuating module after the starlab output, depending on where the audio signal goes afterwards. If you're connecting the output to a mixer, I'd assume that most mixers today can handle eurorack levels without attenuation.
A correction: Early on you state that the feedback rotary does not work as a feedback with a signal plugged in. This is incorrect. It is in fact feedback just like in a delay. You can use the rotary for manually setting the input level in if you hold down the quality selector button while turning it. If there is NO signal plugged in - the rotary works as a bank selector for the internal sound generator.
A couple of years later and this is still one of the best full demos for this system. Thank you for this walk through as I come back every once in a while to refresh.
Ahhh you have prewired synths also. I have a matrix brute as well and don’t give it enough love. I think maybe I have not invested in high quality effects and that is why I start feeling like my synths don’t perform well enough.what effects are you using? Your jams sound so full and clean. Great job on this one
The brute is ace. Don’t feel like you need more to make it shine. That said I have a pedalboard on the floor. For this I think it was mostly big sky and an old phase 90 from mxr. Thanks for the kind words!
Bro, your skills and talent and knowledge of modular is so under viewed on boob tube. I really want to get a full modular rig like yours. I have a ton of synths that have some modular connections and wonder if I should sell them all and get full modular. I’ll be watching all of your vids. 🎃
I’ve been looking at this for a long time and am still interested.there is not a lot of vids on it, I’m hoping to hear the max end of its capabilities. Thanks for the vi
