A lightweight, aluminum driveshaft has always been a staple upgrade in the world of hot rodding. The SVE aluminum driveshafts are a perfect upgrade for anyone that has a Fox Body, SN95, or New Edge Mustang.
In this video, Landan provides a simple review and shows how to install the driveshaft using a 1985 Mustang GT.

Sound like yall are getting another order from me. I got an aluminum driveshaft from *cough* a competitor... needless to say, it out of the box is causing vibrations. Can't return it because it was a Christmas gift and is past the return date. Thank you!

Why don't you go have it balanced? A lot cheaper than buying an entirely new one, sometimes one gets shipped out that didn't get a balance. Then see if the company will reimburse you for the balancing. Any good company should, I've seen it happen before.

As mentioned by another user, find a local shop in your area to rebalance your driveshaft. That's definitely the more cost-effective route. -Landan

Nice! Would these driveshafts work on modified mustangs? I have a 95 with a Tremec T56 Magnum and an IRS from a 99 Cobra. Or will i have to go with a custom shaft? Thanks Landan and the LMR Team💪

The two driveshafts in this video won't work for your application. I would recommend reaching out to a company that builds driveshafts and give them your measurements. Hope this helps. We appreciate the sincere feedback. -Landan

Can you just spray and wipe off with some brake clean to clean area before spraying?

Yeah, I've done that before. Alcohol works better, though, since some brake cleaners can leave a residue. -Landan

@@undeadbrosm41a39 The 4R70W and 4R75W had a specific yoke. You can either transfer your existing yoke or purchase a new one. We're currently in the process of setting up the 4R70W/4R75W style yoke. You're probably talking about the Ford Performance driveshafts. We've had stocking issues on those for the past 4-5 years it seems like. Because of this, we pursued our own driveshaft. -Landan

The only difference between the two is how the yokes are welded to the tubing. The SVE driveshafts are mig welded and the Ford Performance driveshafts are friction welded. Other than that, they're spec for spec. -Landan

The slip yoke tends to leak, I’ve gone through 2 of them over warranty

Then more than likely it's your tail shaft bushing in the transmission. With the slip yoke in the back of the transmission try moving the slip yoke up and down, then side to side, if you feel more than a barely noticeable movement that bushing needs to be replaced and is causing the leak you're having.

@@nunya2814 I’ve replaced the bushing and seal. I pulled the DS out and sprayed with brake clean inside the yoke and it runs out the base of it. Even added dye to water and it leaks out of it. It’s a cheap press fit yoke.

@@nunya2814 yeah I’ve gone through 2 DS the current one leaks too, about to buy the sonnax yoke and be done with warranty replacements.
