The 2024 Mustang GT hasn't received the warmest of welcome from some of the Mustang faithful. Like any new car, the bar is usually always set by the outgoing model, and the 2024 Mustang had high hopes; especially with the asking price. Although, in today's standards, what's considered cheap anymore?
It's been several weeks since we released some 2024 Mustang content. Our apologies! We've been busy with other stuff. What better way to rekindle some 2024 S650 Mustang content then with some quarter-mile passes. We get it, there's cars out there running 9s with boost and not tune; that's awesome! To us, we won't to take this in strides and see what performance can happen through progression. After all, that's how most of you operate.
Touching base on the Raptor R vs TRX, the Raptor R is stock. The TRX has an aftermarket package from a third-party tuning company. We're unsure of what it was, but this wasn't a stock for stock run. Regardless, both trucks get down!!

2016 GT here ( only mods are E85 and Roush Catback). i recently bought a set of SVE 357's in a staggered setup 19x11, 19x10 with continental extreme contact 02's ( this set up decreased my weight down to 50-51 pounds per corner from 65 pounds per corner) those tires are amazing. instant hook. my first street run using a Dragy was 12.44 @ 113, 0-60 was 4.36, 0-130 was 17.02, 60-130 in 12.65 all that in one single run. love those wheels.

Yeah, that's a pretty sweet Gen 1 Lightning! I talked to the owner a little bit and I think I remember him saying the truck has around 13k original miles with a built 408 and blower (can't remember which one). Of course, it has all of the other supporting mods as well. -Landan

My base model, 10 spd. 22 GT is stock except for E-85 tune, K&N air filter, and MT S/S drag radials. At my local dragstrip TVRP, Noble, OK. I've run a best of 11.89 @117 in 1200 ft. density altitude.

Very nice passes. I did have a question? I'm guessing you were in drag mode? Also, did you preload the converter or just launch from idle?

Thanks! Yes, drag mode was used for all of the runs. I can't remember which runs I went from idle and which ones I stalled the converter. -Landan

Are the Ford Performance Street Springs worth it on the S650? I have Steeda progressives and it dropped the front way more than I’d like compared to the drop it had on the S550.

12.08 on a street tire is very nice considering their 2018 GT needed a resonator delete, suspension mods and a drag pack to hit 11.9 put all that on the 24 and I'm sure it will beat the 2018

@@latemodelrestorationtrue true but at margins that small I'm sure DA could have played a role but maybe not not hating on the 550's I owned 2 all this "the S650 is much slower than the S550" is just silly to me these videos prove that thanks for posting
