First time hearing this LP back in summer 2018. It was my first time on ecstasy too. I dunno if anything will ever recreate the same experience like that again.
HOW does this only have 92K views? This is one of my favorite albums. One of my favorite guitarists. One of my favorite peoples. Haley LABORED over this LP. Over-labored. You can hear it. I SO appreciate her high expectations, but, c'mon, girl. Please release another one. Please?
I talked to her after her show at First Ave, and she says it's coming in fall. She'll be touring in support of it, which is awesome, because I really want to see her as the headliner and not the opener.
Track List: 0:00 - Come Around and Love Me 3:04 - If You Don't Want My Love 5:31 - Lost 9:00 - That's All I Wanted From You 11:36 - Please Show Me 14:38 - Just Like You Used To 17:48 - What A Difference She Made 20:44 - Give Me Another Day 24:08 - So Glad I Found You 27:25 - It Takes A Fool 30:31 - Rapture
While singing, Haley often appears to come close to breaking down in tears. Her voice breaks, high and touching, just like any of us do, when we're about to cry. It's so beautiful. I haven't felt as intrigued or as satisfied or as moved by anyone recently. She compares well to the immortal Joni Mitchell, to any of the heroes of original confessional music that we all love so much.
This record is sick. Good heavy Broadcast vibes. Love her voice and the sounds of the instruments. I don’t know anything about what young people like but this was recommended to me by a young Queen and I appreciated this.
