Biography M B Patil, the 53 year old soft spoken Indian politician, hails from Vijayapura, a historical town that boasts of rich heritage and culture. He is the president of the BLDE Association, which runs a string of educational institutions, with a focus on providing education to the rural masses. He has been instrumental in the conception and implementation of many development projects in Vijayapura and surrounding regions. He is the elder son of B. M. Patil, a distinguished politician and educationalist.
