I dont get it. Imagine his teamtes taking all the wind drag all the way near the end of the race. Meaning his teamates carrying him. Obviously they can finish it like he did. Looks like he just takes all the credit of their hardwork
I love Shalane as a runner and a person, but she is no commentator. All the umming, uhhhh, the embarrassing lack of vocabulary. I miss Paula Radcliffe but she was in Chicago in anticipation of her WR being smashed so she could congratulate the winner in person😏
Although I knew what was coming I'm sitting here with tears of joy and huge goosebumps as Eliud reached the finish line! What an incredible achievement and moment in (running) history!
There were different teams running around him all along, they changed it several times so they could stay fresh, he's the only one who ran the entire marathon. My english is approximative, hope it's clear enough.
It reminds me of the Kenyan in the New York Marathon Talking to the crowed like he was not tired at all with a Mile to go. People asked if he had anything to say as he ran about how he felt. He replied Yes Kenya,They said Kenya what? He replied Kenya catch me white boy with a smile.
they werent running the full race, throughout the entire race they switched the runners so that kipchoge stayed at a good pace. so these guys were just the pace setters
