I have just ordered my S3 especially without electric seats. I drive alone and in my previous car I used electric adjustment perhaps ones. What do you think on my choice ? Thx for your valuable videos.
@@CRD90 Yes I saved some money and ordered adaptive suspension and HUD instead. Also ordered common air conditioning because nobody seats at the rear. Thank you for your help videos. 🤘🔥🤘 Best wishes from Poland where you are more and more popular. 😉
@@CRD90 Yes I found it very useful. I have only one doubt concerning sunroof I have not ordered. I heard that are some issues with noise coming from one side of the sunroof and took the black package instead. I have never had sunroof in my previous cars and perhaps I would not miss it so much. I know you recommended to have it.
I personally would go for the saloon every time, and I did. Purely on looks alone I don’t like the look of the back end of the sportback at all, and I can easily fit a good sized pram in the boot regardless of what spin your dealer puts on it. Great video by the way and keep them coming.
Very unreliable. I bought this just over a year ago. After a few months, and a firmware update, it worked most of the time. As time went on, more instances of having to unplug and replug the Ottocast unit were required to get the wireless Carplay to function. About a week ago, it stopped working entirely. Note that I can still use Carplay if my iphone is connected by a wire, so the problem is obviously with the Ottocast. Today, I followed the instructions to update the firmware again. It seemed to be a successful update, but the unit is still not doing the job. Very disappointing.
@@neiledwards9719 have you tried a different cable? Not that I experienced it with this box. But some of the others have cheap cables that stop working.

Were either of you able to get this fixed? First they told me it was an antenna issue, which they ‘fixed’ still there now saying the whole part or module needs to get fixed, been waiting months for the part on backorder
Does this unit have subwoofer settings including the hpf and lpf settings as I will be running a subwoofer with it. Also can you watch RU-vid videos and Netflix on the screen using Apple play or anything like that?
Hi, thanks for the video, I purchased the Road Angel Halo Vision dashcam and when I fitted the rear view camera I noticed the footage was very dark, I blamed my strong tinted back window, that was until it began to rain and I noticed when the back wiper was on the view got really bright, that prompted me to move the camera away from the back wiper (even though it wasn't blocking the camera's view it had some sort of impact on the view, my view was as dark as it is on your footage but thankfully nit anymore since repositioning the camera, hope this helps someone if they experience the same problem, thanks again..
Tried this on my 20 plate A3 SLine today. Hasnt worked, call connected within 10 sexonds, cancel call button gone after approx 15 seconds. It had the update last year. This fault has onky occured in last 3 months. To fox the issue audi have recommended a new control box costing almost £900. Glad to know others have the same issue, but terrible that this has not been resolved by audi
Sos currently eliminated. Audi say I need replace the control box, will cost 1k+ as extended warranty wount cover it. Havent tried this yet ..... BUT how likely os it to reoccur?
Is it worth having the issue resolved? I can get a second hand part.... but reading comments seems its a pretty wide spread issue. Fault needs to be cleared before handing car back at end of pcp term. Such a shame dealerships aren't being more helpful. Especially when you pay all this money for the car. Absolutely love my A3 S -line, was so impressed with the MMI when I first purchased it. Thanks for the info and content ❤
@FayCavanagh I wouldn't pay for it, this would clear the fault when returning it for pcp. It will just periodically pop back up depending on your location. For me it always happened in Blackwall tunnel in London. But if it does this will clear it for a little while for sure.
Did not work. Downloaded new version of aaad and doesn't work. Do u have to download the apk while the phone is connected to the car like in the video? Is that maybe why it didn't work ?
Will the steering wheel controls work if you use dual Bluetooth (or any other method)? Will it use it's own microphone for phone calls or the (better) car microphone?
@@shane250 steering wheel controls won't work. You can buy a separate remote for it that attaches to your steering wheel. I've shown this in another video when fitting it in my nissan 370z. It will use the units microphone for calls, but you can connect and external mic like I did in my nissan
Can you buy this without any subscription and if so does the none subscription option just give you a camera that you can retrieve footage yourself via your mobile and how long does it retain the footage for? I am debating whether to get it but don't want to if I have to subscribe to a monthly subscription. I assume the monthly subscription just unlocks additional features? Thanks for your time.

Bluetooth works just for audio streaming and phone calls. But if you want android auto or Apple carplay you will need to connect via a USB cable on this unit.
@claudeborg4165 no problem this was fitted to my cousins car. You can imagine how happy he was when two years later it still did the job. Set and forget! I've got one in my jaguar now - same company.
Jesus Christ and look now, this video has 17k views they lost at least a couple hundred of new potential customers maybe even thousands. They lost maybe millions in future revenue just because there CS is terrible. What a joke.
DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM I bought this item as it's described as compatible with any car that has Wired CarPlay. My car has wired CarPlay and this unit simply does not work. I've discussed with Ottocast at length and they are refusing to refund the item and they want to charge me a restocking fee and shipping charges to return the item, which I bought in entirely good faith in compliance with their advertised description.
@@CRD90 I didnt disclose my location - Australia - where i understand it is turned off even though i have all other features of the pack. I probably need to investigate where i can get it recoded
