You can't argue with Steve because he did make a better computer and OS . Microsoft NOW might finally lose the PC OS war like Microsoft lost in the videogame console business . Like Microsoft lost with their crappy mobile phones . Like their lame iPod Touch copycat , the Zune . And their continued failing Surface tablets .
never Begs for claps like presentations now in days. he thinks he will get a clap but when he doesn't get it he simply moves on. "You can clap now" is suck a cringe Line
ah yes . intel was so bad . because of that they transitioned to intel . Somehow adobe programs running slower on intels , suddenly worked insanely fast after apple's usage of intel. If you look at close relation between apple and adobe , before transition, i wouldnt be surprised to see a code like if != apple use less power and look slow...
Coming back to old keynotes, it’s amazing to see the features that became the foundation for so many things we use every day. Camera APIs? Share sheets? Tap to focus? Huge!
In 2024 public trashing of your competitors stinks. Just do a great product and talk about it, there’s no need to put down competitors on usually quite cherry-picked reasons.
This OS was launched 15 years ago today. I'm commenting on August 28th, 2024. I was 22 when it launched and remember picking it up with two friends at the Apple Store. All three of us total nerds decided to pick up our DVD copy, then walked straight across the street to a Total Wine liquor store, all three of us bought 99 Apples booze, went to my place, got drunk while it installed. They say your younger years are, "simpler times". Usually it's only because you had less to worry about, but nights like that were a prime example of just jumping off the roller coast of life and being stupid and it was fun.
Does anyone else find it kind of funny that Steve Jobs spent the better part of the decade shitting on Intel only to turn around and act like they were the best microprocessor manufacturer in the world?
Speak for yourself. My windows work laptop is massive. And requires external keyboard, mouse, headset (because speakers are terrible). 👎 It’s a portable desktop more than it is a laptop.
The more videos I watch, the more I am in awe of Steve's performance over the years. His in-depth knowledge of the products he showcases is fantastic. Creating a flawless story around them for hours is really one of a kind. The reason is simple: As a CEO, your time is very limited. He still manages to learn the ins and outs of the products. He is definitely raising the bar for everybody here: employees and competition.
