3:22 this "stupid flashing mode" would be extremely useful when driving in HEAVY milky fog on a fast highway. It's like hazards but MUCH more powerful and penetrating. Which means it is less likely that someone will see your car too late to brake. I'm guessing that's what it was intended for. Rears are probably more important though.

I had the exact D type bulb in my tail lights up until couple days ago when of them started flickering, so i replaced them with regular incandescent bulbs. I've been looking for some chinese replacements and randomly got on this video, holy shit was i surprised. I'll spare some money and buy OSRAM's now. Tho the same bulbs but P21w are in my reverse lights, but they seem to be working fine and provide much better visibility at night so i guess i'll keep em.

Multumesc

I just bought 2 sets of Osram "Lasers" for my car, and watching this video I suddenly remembered that I fitted my wife's car with some Philips ExtremeVision and they didn't last more than one year so I expect the same or worse fate with the Osrams.

Thank you! I ended up getting bulb E based off this video, as it sounded exactly like I wanted - great light spread and noticably brighter than halogen - and it was indeed! Sadly mine only lasted 4.5 months but they were only £2.50 each, so it's worth repeatedly buying them and at the end of the year only having spent the same as more expensive bulbs (but with less performance).

Xenon bulb aka (White/blue halogen bulbs) 5000/6000K both philips and osram will not give enough brightness, i tested them on a Corsa D 2007, both of them, they have poor visibility. If you want a good visibility and brightness then use the standard yellow to white bulbs of philips like racing 200% H7 or extreme vision 150%.

They do work but you're preparing them to a car that's not performance if you put it in an S4 or an M3 you're definitely going to gain 15 horsepower cuz they're supercharged engines in their in their turbocharged engines so you're going to get more horsepower you can't compare these these filters to a stock car I'm not going to do anything to it
@Rand0muser2538
@Rand0muser2538 20 дней назад
personally i think replacing the xenon projectors with bi led projectors is way cheaper and a better option like you get 2 birds with one stones by removing the control units at the price of getting another pair of xenon bulbs

It doesn't seem to me that you are adequately controlling the particle size, amount, and the uniformity of their distribution, both in the mix being introduced into the filter, and how uniformly they are introduced. For example, looking at the MAHLE result, it would indicate that the MAHLE filter allowed less small particles through than the other filters, but, more larger particles. This result doesn't make sense, and should immediately raise suspicions. To me, this seems to be more of a reflection that the MAHLE filter received a larger proportion of large particles and a smaller proportion of small particles. I think you can improve this experiment by: 1. Controlling the particle size for each experiment. By all means, do several experiments with different particle sizes. I realise this might be difficult, so alternatively, you will have to mix the containment you have very well. Once mixed, you then need to isolate the mixture from any vibration. 2. Using a particulate material that does not coagulate with humidity. Alternatively, keep your particulates in a dry chamber, or in an oven before each experiment. Leaving out the particulates exposed while you run several experiments could mean that the particulates just get bigger and bigger since they are absorbing more moisture. 3. Create an air blender stage that mixes a pre-measured amount of particulates with dry and filtered air evenly. Once mixed, this cloud is then passed through the filter by opening a valve.

I've been running 3000k HID's in many of my cars. I've always tried to check the light pattern and the placement of the bulb to minimize the glare to the oncoming traffic and also tried to keep the height adjustment a bit lower when there is lot of traffic. Often the holders are a bit loose and may have surprisingly large amounts of wiggle room which can lead to dramatic irregularities in the light pattern. In some cases I've done some slight bending, or cutting if I used a bulb with a plastic base. Nothing has beat them in winter conditions and especially in heavy snowfall. Using high beams is not a problem at all, as the snow doesn't blind you and you can see through it, unlike with anything "normal". Also the road signs are lit up in a nice color that doesn't beat your eyes. The added benefit of running with yellow light is that you're eyesight keeps better adapted to the darkness. There is a big difference when in the dark you jump out of a car that has lights of normal white or anything bluish. With yellow, you can see a lot better instantly when you jump out to the darkness. I once took a taxi on a dark autumn night that had very nice lights. It was some Volvo model, I think from around 2006-2010. The color of the headlights was a very warm white. Yeah, I know it's illegal but I think many modern cars with their very "snappy" edge of darkness is often times truly blinding. In recent years my driving has been very limited so I haven't put the HID's on. Once I bought a pair of "3000k" H7 HID bulbs without the coating, but they turned out to be just a normal pair of 4300k's or so. So I placed a yellow filter on the low beam part of the headlight cover. It was actually way nicer than the 3000k bulbs because they didn't have that odd hint of green, especially at the very start when they warm up. So the hint of blue on the filter does screw up the color a bit and it's not a "clear yellow". I'm glad I once found a good set of "computer controlled" HID ballasts, that have worked very well. Of course you can't probably compare them to a proper OEM quality system but at least they have had a very even light output and are pretty fast to warm the bulb up. Some cheap ballasts (with badly regulated DC output) had catastrophically bad and constant jumping of the light arc. - I just ordered some random pair of passively cooled yellow led bulbs for my "new" car. A set of LED HB3's in 3000k from a brand called BMTxms. They should have 12 very small LED chips and are rated at 30W per bulb. But seeing the very small cooling fin on the back makes me doubt their actual output. They claim to have some sort of temperature control system... And some reviews do seem to say that they are at least brighter than a halogen. Which I think would be fine. I think I don't need the 3x output that the HID's usually market themselves at. I also ordered a pair of old school 3000k HID's in HB3. The car has projector low beams (H7) so I guess using HID's in them shouldn't be an issue. Though there is no automatic level control, but I'm pretty actively adjusting my lights anyway. I don't really like the idea of installing extra high beams or led bars on a car, as it's pretty damn pointless to have super bright high beams and some lousy old halogens when you turn the high beams off. And as there are way more blinding LED's on the oncoming traffic today, I feel like having just halogens is in many situations pretty frustrating. I once tried to drive with the 3000k HID's in the dark with a pair of pretty dark tinted sunglasses. It was a very interesting feeling. Of course there was way less light, but I felt like I could see more "even". It was like I had "brown" lights on my car :D A bit like having a nice pair of "hifi" earplugs, but for your eyes, if that makes ANY sense :D
