I am always open to suggestions as long as the game you are suggesting for me to play is near complete and shows promise to eventually BE finished. I'm open to playing fangames as well as more traditionally developed titles but I know from experience the pain of getting halfway through a game and then finding out it will never be finished... Never again... That said, right now I've got a lot of big projects going on though, so it might be a while.

For Kris Knight theory, we don't know if King even met the Knight. Queen just guesses based on the Knight's actions, so what's to say that King didn't do the same thing? Also, we don't know if Kris looks different with and without the soul.

It should start with an outlined item so you immediately know to go with outlines. 30:58 I think it's implied that in general while Steamworks had many great minds behind it they weren't great at executing everything right. Plus, it's implied that Gaster worked at Steamworks (the flower project was put aside for something new (The Core) and one of the awards that the scientists got had its name destroyed). Gaster was likely a key player in Steamworks and when he shattered (regardless of whether he was remembered) the Steamworks was now missing a big piece of itself that made it even more dysfunctional (at least, that's my headcanon). Chujin's failures with Axis to me are more so a straw that broke the camel's back, showing that Steamworks was no longer the great thing it once seemed to be. Alphys presented Mettaton to Asgore during Steamworks's moments of weakness and: well, Alphys was able to make a robot more advanced than anything Steamworks put out (even though Alphys cheated with the whole: Mettaton just being a vessel thing) and Asgore decided to scrap Steamworks. Maybe he intended Alphys to hire some lab partners but given how quickly it's implied the determination experiments went wrong she wasn't wanting to have others in the true lab to see what happened. I do think it's somewhat of a stretch that Asgore would fire all of Steamworks and Steamworks in general is one of the places where it feels like there could've been better integrations with Undertale proper. QOTD: Well, Undyne was mentioned by Mooray but idk. I think it would be fun if the Snowdin section had the implication that the skelebros just appeared, but even in Undertale proper it's implied that they only recently appeared, so it may be a stretch for that to be referenced in Yellow. I think it would've been fun if a scrapped Undertale character was included (like Doge or the other two Royal Knights)
I binged the rest of your series and glad to see that you're exploring the fandom too! I also can't wait to see you get into other homestuck content, particularly paradox space (it's a comic series from different authors and artists that varies from short silly stories to some nice character exploration) and friendsim (you get to befriend a bunch of new trolls, id recommended getting all of the possible endings, because they all contribute to *something*)

something to keep in mind is that shu takumi did not write dual destinies and appollo justice, i beleive, so any similiarities between those games and ghost trick is likely just a coincidence XP also bailey and the other guy are pretty fun. an uptight idiot who follows the rules to the letter and a laid back snarker who couldn't give a fuck who likes to rile up his partner for fun. A pretty fun dynamic. also i'd say the crimes here are not only tied to national secrets but also from the sound of things crimes that are 'impossible'. A singer singing about secrets he couldn't have any way of knowing, a man who broke into the police chief's office without getting caught beforehand while wielding a flamethrower and....a man who murdered someone in front of a family member.... as for your quesiton of the day idunno i think i gave the rocker either a stereotypical british punk rocker voice or something like a 'snarky 90's kid' kinda thing

I like the banter between the prison guards, they're some of my favorite incidentals. One of my favorite jokes from the game should appear by the time you exit the prison. We're almost done introducing major players to the story, the artists in prison is the last new face that's important important (unless I'm blanking on someone). The other prisoners are mostly incidentals though technically tie to stuff loosely. You don't have to worry too much about the punk's voice

May be misremembering idk). You would go to where the saves are stored and copy the save file. As you gathered, Gardener is not the final boss of Steamworks. The final boss is someone else. 24:49 Fun fact, if you initiated a neutral route by now, you would've went through the opposite door and experienced some different stuff than you do normally. 27:28 Steamworks is very similar to Hotland/The Core pretty much. I personally really like how Undertale Yellow is. It doesn’t hit as much for me as Undertale proper, but I do think the ending picks up pretty decently. And I like how Yellow's no mercy route works better than Undertale's. Undertale Yellow does definitely have more difficult attacks than Undertale proper and it is a fairly common complaint that several enemies are unfair compared to what you would expect from them. Yellow also feels like it has less layers to it compared to Undertale proper, which makes it not stick quite as much for me as Undertale. The character writing is very fun and I think it mostly works! Again, I do like Yellow pretty well and I like the endings a lot. It's just not as hard hitting as Undertale proper. QOTD: I really like Gardener's design. Though, I was never under the impression that she should be the boss of steam works. She always felt like a mid boss. Like the flowers are important kinda but it's like how The Core is important. You don't expect to fight whoever made The Core, in your initial play through it's just set dressing. The same for the flowers, they felt more like set dressing rather than being related to what you fight.
My favorite character hasn't shown up yet, so I'll just go with Missile. Or Officer Bailey. Ironically, there is actually a chef later in the game who I like.
I'm so late to this, but my two favorites from the trolls are Eridan and Sollux, I'm not even sure why, and my favorite from the humans is Dave because I can heavily relate to having a kinda difficult relationship with my older brother

Don't worry about the puzzle looking up too much. For the most part I was able to make my way through the game without needing anything, but there are occasions where how an item is supposed to interact with everything doesn't quite click. I know that there are at least two puzzles that I had to look up stuff because how an item worked did not line up with how I would intuit the item to. Sometimes a little nudge is all you need to figure out: oh! This item is supposed to interact with everything else like this! and once you know that you can then proceed to solve the puzzle. (Also, more hints in this episode toward one of my favorite plot twists, hehe :3) QOTD: A sequel to this game could work? It's hard to expand on it without spoiling everything, but it just kind of. Depends. It would be a lot easier to Apollo Justice it, focus on a new cast that may or may not interact with the original. Ghost Trick's mystery is very interweved within itself unlike Ace Attorney where, yes there are overarching story arcs and mysteries, but the main structure has you going between a variety of cases. So following up Ghost Trick would be a lot more difficult due to how interweved the game is mystery wise. There are some logistical problems with focusing on an alternate cast due to how certain things work in universe that haven’t been explained. But it wouldn't be too difficult to work around the logistics. So it is possible, but it has more difficulties than an Ace Attorney sequel.

35:27 wanna point out here that Kris has a pencil equipped immediately when waking up in chapter 1. Noelle offers them a pencil you talk to her, but that proposal gets cut off, since your only option for dialogue is asking no to be her partner or not
i don't think the chess theory is true, mostly because the chess theming comes specifically from chapter 1, and queen is really clearly directly related to king. i don't see how there could be bosses themed around pawns, bishops and rooks when we already have enemies from chapter 1 who are literally those chess pieces. chapter 1 also has a bunch of chess theming everywhere, so having the main theme of the game also be that would be a little weird to me

I personally think the secret boss will be something like programs for 1-6 year olds, maybe with the characters design of mangle from fnaf but with a baby doll head on the end. I think this because each secret boss has an item, devilsknife for jevil, deal maker for spamton, and each boss weapon has a link to the 3 main character: devilsknife for Susie, and deal maker for Kris. So the third will have to be ralsei, so why not be something like a scarf? So that’s why I think that’s the character design. And you might be thinking: “but what about the other 4 chapters?”. Well I think Noelle and berdly will have their chapters where they’re chapters where they’re in the original group, and the 3rd chapter? Well I think it’s Catti, why would this random character have a picture? Well I think she will come in play in chapter 6. And the final chapter? I think everyone will be in the team at once.

Honestly I used to watch a LOT of Lyricstucks years ago, alongside of Homestuck MEPs (which I think are less seen lately since they usually had a large amount of uncredited fanarts to go along with the music). for classic stuff id definitley recomend "the baby is you" by TOBY FOX (i wrote james roach because i keep confusing their names mb) and octopimp's homestuck catalogue, but some modern homestuck content i really like is bb-panzus recent work edit: project [S] is actually endeavoring to make an animated adaptation of homestuck, theyve posted episode 1
"the baby is you" is an absolute banger. It should be banned from any rankings of Homestuck content because it would not be fair to other works; it would win by default. It's the greatest work of Toby Fox - the one that made him famous.
I in fact have reacted to the baby is you already lol. That and Rex Duodecim Angelus have their own videos in the playlist. I first heard a couple of the song in my Toby Fox music ranking videos though.
One interesting thing this reminded me of is how the fandom was completely obsessed with Act 5. Even really late into Homestuck, as far as the ending, the large majority of fan content was based on stuff that happened from Hivebent to Cascade. So stuff that may have seemed short-lived, like Doc Scratch, the Ancestors, Grimdark Rose, or the Trolls getting unceremoniously murdered on the Meteor, were all seen as incredibly important. The Alpha Kids and Cherubs were fairly popular, but it seemed to have been almost entirely based on their designs and personalities. The actual plot events of Act 6 didn't receive much fan focus at all. While Acts 1-4 were primarily seen as just buildup for Act 5, which is why it was surprisingly common for people to recommend skipping the first 4 Acts. Anyways, a lot of these videos are pretty nostalgic for me. I got into Homestuck when I was 13 myself. I especially remember the animatic music videos, which we called lyricstucks. The Amsterdam video is a good example, but there were a ridiculous amount of them, and a lot of them were weirdly high-quality when you consider they were mostly made by teenagers. Like, I don't think even Undertale had as many. The only fandoms I can think of that had this number of animatics were the Dream SMP and maybe some podcast fandoms like the Adventure Zone and Welcome to Night Vale, and those had the benefit of being audio-based media that naturally encouraged animatics.

After Grimdark, Rose turns to more constructive ways to destroy the game (well. I believe it released a little bit after the alpha kids were introduced. The music is from the Homestuck Soundtrack 13:15 I mean, Homestuck is still going and on and on. Though the fandom is definitely much smaller than it used to be, no longer the internet encapturing thing it once was. Though, there was definitely a big pause in anything official for a long time. Though, the people who have remained in the fandom seem pretty likely to continue existing. 20:39 Amsterdam is known as a Lyricstuck, where fans would draw art to go along with lyrics to a song. Notably, many lyricstucks were not originally made as videos and other fans would put them into music videos. These videos would then later inspire people to make lyricstucks specifically as videos, keeping the same style of text in the images that the non-video versions started with. This selection does a good job at representing the main types of Homestuck fandom videos i think (excluding the lack the Homestuck analysis videos, which are the main Homestuck content I tend to watch (though i understand why they aren't included). I do watch a good amount of lyricstucks and some silly animations, but I end up mostly watching analysis videos. So most of these videos weren't ones I've actually seen, though half of them I've at least heard of) 28:29 The Homestuck fandom still makes plenty of fan content! Even ambitious fan projects like video games. Project Genesis is still being worked on, but there is another homestuck fan named Dragon and Fox Collective that is also making their own interpretation of SBURB (they restarted development of their game concept recently due to the Unity debacle and are making their own engine for the game now). There is Strife Project that intends to make a fighting game that is well in development. And other stuff! Many fans still attempt to make MSPFAs (or, fan adventures), which often place their own characters into SBURB (or look at an alternate path Homestuck could've followed), with Vast Error being the most well known fanventure (it even recently got an official liscence to make merch and stuff since Homestuck is trying to open up the liscence some again recently. There's hopes other fanventures will get a liscence as well). Many people make animations for Homestuck still. The youtuber Swampland makes some occasionally (they have a big preference for trolls and often include the Beforus Trolls in their animations). There is Project [S] that wants to animate most of Homestuck (they are reaching completion of Act 1). Tamajikis only started making Homestuck animations 3 years ago and still makes them. BB-panzu started making Homestuck content a little under 2 years ago, originally making Friday Night Funkin' mods, but recently just making full on animations that just put the hoemstuck characters in their own silly situations (even going into mixed media with some of the animations). And there's many more people who still make Homestuck content, some who make almost entirely Homestuck content, some that don't. There is still definitely a fandom, just not nearly as much.
I’ve always loved just looking up “Homestuck animation” and getting a bunch of either absolutely terrible, cringe content or some admittedly fire stuff. It’s fun… for a little while, at least
