MindFuel Films is a boutique film production company based in Victoria, B.C., focusing on the homelessness crisis. It has released two films.
940 CALEDONIA follows Tina Dawson, a middle-aged woman homeless for the first time, who steps up, determined to lead when her encampment floods in a city park.
The film is currently doing its festival run and won a monthly award for BEST HUMAN RIGHTS FILM at the Cannes World Film Festival in December 2023. The film was also selected for the Victoria Film Festival and screened to a sold-out audience in February 2024. More announcements are coming soon.

This just made me cry. Thank you for giving homelessness the attention it needs. There are many people who think all homeless people are drug addicts which couldn't be further from the truth. I will definitely check out the film at the VFF.

I don't want rub salt in the wound but the delusional form of self entitlement is one of the main reasons she's homeless to begin with, she's acting like society owes her something just because she's homeless and that she should get everything for free instead of actually trying to pull her own weight at any cost. U can't rely on the government to take care of u, no matter whichever country u live in. And in majority of the people who become homeless r those who have little to no financial knowledge. U should always take accountability for ur own actions and strive to make urself better.
The system of Canada is really bad. I always admired the early days in Victoria and teaching overseas for 12 years put me into culture shock after returning home to see the drugs and homeless and of course, a corrupt government.
With the direction Trudeau is going in. I wouldn't be surprised if these ppl started to mysteriously disappear; it won't be hard, most ppl choose not to notice them anyway

I could never stand people starting at me, especially the closest ones... wanted to hide or vanish after this talk I know why, each time I felt threatened in my childhood I hid in a closet or behind a door in the shadow and stopped even breathing... This is exactly what happens when the real estate industry is unregulated. And it sure is unregulated in Canada, compared to energy, utilities, and telecommunications.
It’s because rent is now out of control, even working full time you can’t afford an apartment and to eat, it’s one or the other, Landlords are charging way to much for shitty 1bdr apartments. It ridiculous to work your ass off and be homeless
Why those rich & powerful countries like America and Canada not taking care of their own people, instead minding other countries business, their backyards are on fire, compare with China, safe and clean, no homeless or beggers, people are hundreds of times happier than you so called " human rights" countries, stop buried your heads in the ground, you are facing loads problems that God can not help you
