Really enjoyed your video! We thought about buying one of these in 2020, but ended up with another brand. Sold it for more than we paid for it, so they are valuable and the mature set of us love them because they don't really require as much work as a larger unit. Hubby and I have been empty nesters for a bit and wanted to get back into camping as we love travel in general. We recently moved up to a very small camper due to my diagnosis of diabetes. It does take a bit to figure out how you are going to handle your smaller space and that's even when you have a tiny sized camper! Space can get filled up FAST! I was going to suggest that either a roll up pad over your cushions and using a queen sleeping bag helped us to be able to use our table and storage under the seats and allowed us space. Speaking for us, that trifold bed just didn't work as far as comfort, but our teardrop really didn't have storage like that. We miss it terribly and I just looked at RTTC Black Bear and a CampInn. Really loved the ease of just being able to pickup and drop the unit off easy. I hope you both are still enjoying the road and add some more videos soon!
Yes, the smaller campers are so much less hassle to pull and maintain. Not having any water or tanks simplifies things tremendously! And you're right - there isn't a lot of inside space but we've learned how to make a comfortable space outside with our canopy, which makes a huge difference. Sorry about your diagnosis. We hope you're able to get back to traveling as well. It has been a different year for us but we hope to add some more videos soon. Thanks so much for stopping by!
I love the hinge door on mine. I wish all tents had that feature. I did put on seam sealer, and have camped in 2 nights of rainstorms. And we were all completely dry. Mine isn't the dark room one, but I do love my Coleman! My kids bought it for my Mothers day present about 4 years ago, best gift ever!❤
If your a tent camper I highly recommend a Kodak canvas flex bow 10&14 you will love it stays dry goes up quick and easy it’s the best and it’s canvas lasts forever if taken care of .
I have been considering buying a rustic trail. I have followed them on Facebook for a good while. I have been in the owners group to read and listen, I have not posted. I have called, and asked the company questions. This morning I politely asked them on a Facebook post if they have considered making a composite version of the Kodiak off-road. They responded with a long post dismissing me as a potential customer simply since I asked a polite question. I asked more direct questions, and said I didn’t appreciate being dismissed as a customer simply bc I asked a polite question. They deleted all of the discussion, and blocked me on Facebook. This is clearly a company who does not deal with at least some customers in a way I want a company I buy from to respond to customers. Buyer beware! And have screen shots of the entire discussion if anyone wants to see them.
Yikes. That wasn't our experience at all. Sorry that happened to you. We aren't affiliated with Rustic Trails or anything. Just happy customers. Hope you're able to find a camper that will work well for you.
Yes! That's one of the reasons we chose this model. Even though we don't often need the freezer portion, it's nice to have the capability to bring along ice cream or something on a hot weekend!
Thanks for the long-distance visit. I worked on exhibits there for the past 45 years. You captured the essence of Fayette, what we all hope the guests experience at this beautiful site.
I get it. My parents grew up in the Ludington area but moved to SW Michigan when I was young. More jobs in the lower half of the state. We love visiting Northern Michigan, though! And yes, eating fudge occasionally. 😉
I am guilty of eating fudge also and occasionally visit Murdick's and Kilwin's also as it is the original store, but not the one in Ann Arbor. The town has changed so much that I get lost at times thinking I know where I'm going. @@TakeATripTogether
I just got the same tint on Amazon. We set it up in the backyard and it’s gonna work out well for us this spring. I used your technique to tie up my lines. Thank you.
Really dumb rant about a drainfield.... How else are the bathrooms supposed to work.....? The Ludington SP is the best one in the whole damn state and THAT is what you put on the thumbnail...? REALLY...? It's MAYBE 100 yards in an area of 85 square miles and I'm willing to wager anyone looking for that drainfield can't find it. BIG THUMBS DOWN !
I'm sorry you feel that way. We were just trying to have a bit of fun. Did you watch the video? Ludington State Park is also one of our favorites and we were pleasantly surprised that we didn't smell anything even though we were camped right next to the drainfield...
Hello sir, I saw your RU-vid channel and understand you are a RU-vidr. Very nice video on your channel, I really enjoyed it. Only 562 subscribers and a Total of 94 Uploaded videos of your channel. I noticed one thing according to your channel your channel videos are not viewed and subscribed. You need to optimize your channel and do video SEO to reach your target audience. Otherwise, if you upload videos to your channel throughout the year, none of your videos will get viral views. If your channel is optimized a little and if the videos are SEO then your channel will rank very fast and your channel will grow. And monetization of your channel will be on. And If you want, I can do it I Can Guarantee to improve Subscriber and video views on any RU-vid channel with my experience I am waiting for your response
So glad this video was helpful. You might also want to watch this one because we talked about a few camper details that we forgot to mention in our tour video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-onaGPWhpFRw.html Hope you're able to make a good decision about which camper will be best for you!
@@TakeATripTogether Thanks very much for the tips and thanks for sharing y'all's experiences with day to day with the teardrop. God Bless you both and stay safe...
They didn't have any dealers when we bought ours so we bought it direct from the manufacturer. It isn't really a factory since they're all hand made. They do have a few dealers now, though.
thanks for sharing plus some brilliant tips, i have never visited Michigan but who knows maybe some time soon.Still even if it does not happen, it`s a pleasure to watch your video and looking forward to more shares in the future
Thanks for the tip on Sable Falls! We'll be exploring the Pictured Rocks area in a few weeks. Hmm... Not sure if we'll take the shortcut you showed. However, I think we're staying a little more south of Pictured Rocks, in Christmas, Michigan. On a separate note, where would we find the best pasty? We haven't tried one yet... 😊🐢
Looking forward to hearing about your adventures! I don't really have a good recommendation for pasties. Sorry! Wish I did but most of them have meat in them and I'm a vegetarian and am avoiding gluten, so...
Yes, I sure hope it does. I've been seeing Northern Lights pictures up there in the last few days so be sure you keep track of the KP Index while you're there!
Dang, we were there over 8 years ago. It was by accident. We were visiting friends in Mackinaw City, I think thats how you spell it. We over shot it and kept going. HAHAHA. LIKE 34. 👍👍👍
You can't go wrong in the UP so I'm sure you still had an amazing adventure. Yes, it's spelled Mackinaw. Some stuff is Mackinac and some is Mackinaw so it can be tricky. They're all pronounced the same, though...

I have never been to St. Ignace, Michigan. That mystery spot looks like a fun and interesting place to visit. Love all the different places, information and wonderful views of the beaches, lighthouse, trails, museum and so much more. Have a great day my Friend.🤗🤗
So beautiful and enchanting dear Dennis and Michelle! Loved your spectacular and informative travel guide to St, Ignace, Michigan! Awesome historic sites and magnificent and intriguing locations! Thanks for sharing this fantastic travel experience with us! We joined your inspiring channel! With warm greetings and kind wishes, Alex and Alexandra
Yeah, it's definitely small. I'm 5'8" and my husband is 6"3" and he definitely struggles with the length of the bed more than I do. It isn't for everyone...
This is an explanation of portable refrigeration, which is absolutely essential in camping life! It seems to be bigger and better than the model I have.
Thank you! The model we got is perfect for most of our trips but we could use an even larger one for longer trips. Especially when we're staying somewhere remote where it's hard to restock.
