I modified my kids power wheel. I put two 12v 20AH making it a 24v and now it’s super strong and fast but when it comes to go up a slop it just shuts off, what do you think the problem is? I’m assuming the problem maybe the motherboard but I’m not sure, I’ll order a higher Load Current since the one it has is a Max 25A Load Current
my kids sopbost ride stops and you have to cycle the ignition to get it back on. It only happens when he goes uphill. It never used to do this. Any ideas?
They should of made them giant sized jeep, toyota, ford, dodge rams pickup truck for adult& teenagers can have fun with kids be bonus fun thing to do in hibbies
I got the key and motor controler you linked to but the controller outputs seem to be different than the video. I wired the key to the controller output called "speed selection switch" and all 3 key positions spin in the same direction. Do you use the reverse switch connector? That one only has 2 wires.
If you don’t mind, how much would you charge for a setup like this in a power wheels Barbie Jeep? I’ve got the 18v Ryobi batteries and adapters but that’s it. I’d love to get my daughters jeep moving faster but don’t have the knowledge to put all that together
Mine is complete junk and big country is not good customer service! When you turn it on it locks up and hardly able to push it then you turn key off and it free again
@@dancearoundtheworld5360 I left a comment about it on your vevor reciprocating saw video because they kept getting deleted here for some reason. It probably got flagged as some kind of sales spam. That combo gear is about $2 or $3 delivered from china, but a full gearbox with new motor is about $8 delivered. If you are trying to go faster and break less stuff they sell something called an RS775 motor and gearbox which is something custom someone probably decided to have made in china which was then just sold and copy/pasted everywhere for $30. The 775 motor is from an electric lawnmower I think, it’s 288W.
Great video! I've copied this setup, added the low voltage cutoff, and everything works great except the pot. that darn thing seems to do nothing. when attached, i'm getting full voltage no matter where the dial is set. I have the Plastic smaller foot pedal throttle and the pot you recommended above and installed the pot on the green wire. no dice. not sure what to try next.
@@CustomKidzCars First off great video Thanks . The pedal that I used had red, black and yellow wires. I had no glue on which wire to cut into. So I cut into the yellow first. And got you full voltage problem. I soldered the yellow wire back together and when for the red wire. And that did the trick. So it was the red wire with my pedal setup. Again the video was a great help. Thanks.
Hey i’ve been fixing and flipping for a few months and realized my normal garage setup isn’t cutting it. i need some better storage options for the cars and wire connectors and parts storage. make a video of what you do and use i couldn’t find one.
Have any tips on that Dumars gearbox on your table? for Yamaha 700r black/green color? Seems to keep blowing the brass bushing within hours on 18v in my situation. It
Why aren’t you water dipping for break ins? Takes half the time and is a better break in. Also, use CRC QD Electronics Cleaner in the blue can…cleans just as well and it is plastic safe. You can pick it up at Lowes.
Where did you get those motors that can handle 36v? I hooked up a 36v lithium battery in one of our power wheels dune racer and it immediately burned up the stock motors
What's the piece inside the car that controls the turning ability through the remote control. And how do you replace it? It can only be controlled manually and I can still use the controller to go backwards and forward. But that's about it. And It's not the controller. It's the part inside the car.
Your projects are awesome! I have a couple C7s that need rear wheels but as you mentioned they are not made anymore. Did you ever get to the video that shows the process to do the mustang wheels on the corvette? Would love to see that so I can get these kiddos back on the road.
Hello I have a 24 volt rzr and any time I hook up the battery and hit the pedal it starts to beep very loud from the main board and idea what the issue could be ?
Hello Is it possible to put 36v battery but without the speed controller but only the original gear lever? I do thet on de tractor ground force peg perego but 20v.
Got a jeep one and had it for 3 days. Worked all day his bday, stopped working next day charged it then had hubby look, he got only the passenger tire to go and after 10 min it started smoking from the passenger motor..Please help…my son was so excited… we did buy used..
Great channel! Wow if you added one more relay to your drawing, you wouldn’t need a key switch. The relay coil would be powered by the power output of the voltage sensitive relay, and when the voltage sensitive relay turns off because of the low-voltage, it would turn off the relay that gives itself power therefore killing itselfwithout any extra switches or teaching the kid how to use the key switch, etc.
What if I disconnect foot pedal and put the wires together and motors don't turn but when I use throttle on handlebars the wheels turn? What do I check next? Seems like power not getting the the foot pedal but is to the throttle. This quad is a hollicy atv and has 2 ways to activate wheels.
I came because I'm new to Power Wheels and doing this for a friend...I wired up 3 12v LiFEPO4 20AH batteries so the system is parallel when it's off for charging...and series when it's on for 36v (Just Over 40v at full float charge). Your potentiometer needs will be directly related to the minimum voltage of your controller and the maximum voltage of the system...if you've got a 24v controller on a 36v system, you'll need 300 Ohms (approximately) to achieve full usage of the potentiometer.
I had to upgrade to a 24v relay the one you recommended started to get hot when I tested the circuit. I also used a push button hold-in circuit to automatically disconnect the low voltage module so it wouldn’t continue to drain the battery thanks for the video helped out a-lot
so I have a question maybe you can help me with. I installed 2 new 775 motors from ML toys. Everything works fine when the car is up in the air but the moment there is resistance or my kid gets in the car nothing works. It works with her not in it but doesn’t work when she is in it………
Awesome mods. Great video! I have this tractor but keep running into issues with the circuit board. Ive had to replace it multiple times. Do you know if its possible to fix the board or bypass it all together with a better set up? My kids also have the the smaller gators which last forever. Such simple machines with a battery, accelerator and motors. Not so much with the xuv
Thanks for the Video, it was very helpfull for my build. Would you please share which controller you used? Can't find a 36v with reverse, just 48v and 24v :(. Thanks!
