Makesense. I do love Onepiece so much but i'm not argue that character design (mostly earlier one) doesn't click with me. One I snack on my first episode, here I am at 1119. XD
I was shown this movie by my grandma when I was like 10-11, traumatized the hell out of me, I've now recommended it to every one of my little sister's friends, and every time without fail, they come crying to me being like 'Why'd you recommend that to me?' (Yes, I'm evil (however my little sister didn't cry while reading the book or watching the movie so who's the real monster here? lol))
How To Train Your Dragon is one of my favorite movie franchises, regardless of genre, animated or not. Also, I couldn't help but notice that your dog never grew into his ears 😁He is cute though.
3:22 this may be wrong but I heard it as a piece of Old English witch lore: When a witch sold her to the devil she gained 8 lives, and then she would use her last life to live as a cat, therefore cats have 9 lives
loved your reactions amongst this series, they actually are making a fourth as a live action that’s set to release summer of 2025, but no one knows yet if it’s going to be a continuation or a remake of the first
The moves Hiccup was prompting Toothless to do to impress the Light Fury were mostly taken from real moves done by male birds-of-paradise. There are clips around from National Geographic and BBC documentaries showing some of these.
It makes perfect sense, you really summed up the trilogy. Agree that this should be the end, just leave it perfect as it is. Thanks for doing these, they were great. Cute dog pictures, but you never told us what he thinks!!! 😆
Everyone goes into these movies thinking “this is pretty popular and it’ll be a fun little movie” then they watch all three movies and all cry at least twice.
I love all 3 movies to bits and these reactions do it justice. My main issue with this movie is how dumb they portraid the other riders besiders hiccup and astrid. Especially ruffnut. In the race to the edge series(on netflix) she is so smart and cautious when needed but in the movie they do her so dirty. If you want more httyd content i definitely reccomend watching the race to the edge tv series, its fantasic and does so much more with the characters
The part that gets me in particular is when Hiccup is talking about "there were dragons when I was a boy". That quote, and a few more sentences after it, are taken directly from the first how to train your dragon book, which (very loosely) inspired this series. The books and films have nearly nothing in common other than a few character names and those lines, but it always makes me sentimental. Kinda feels like that was where it all started and now it's grown into a film series that so many people love.
I agree with your ranking 100%. The ending is a perfect ending but overall the weakest of the trilogy. By no means was it bad though. I really liked how they paralleled Hiccup and Astrid’s relationship with Toothless and the Light Fury. I am glad that there are no plans for a future animated film because it really did end perfectly. I’m excited but also nervous for the live action remake. It is directed by the same director which is a plus at least.
the cast is just more force inclusion :/ they made fishlegs indian, and astrid latina. also the twins look nothing alike, and the female twin looks nothing like the actual ruffnut. and astrid's actor looks nothing like actual astrid. all signs are pointing to this being an average movie at most
@@hichewies I always find it in poor taste to judge a movie for shallow reasons. It's also in poor taste to force inclusion. But as an artist I find that invalidating to other efforts of the production of the movie.
@@user-gt4cu2sy6p I know I'm not looking forward to it the only thing good thats coming from it is the stoick voice actor is playing stoick in the movie everything else is wrong
I’m so glad it got you in the end, I saw this one at the cinema in a special showing a month before it came out with like 40 people and EVERYONE was crying at the end, you could hear everyone sobbing😅 I’m with about the second one being better but the ending on this one is a masterpiece. There is short movie you should watch that takes places after the wedding but before the reunion it’s really good and only like 30 minutes it’s called HTTYD Homecoming ❤❤
24:04 as @isuapig6705 said Drago found and attacked his bewilder beast since it was a hatchling and it became scared of him and his spear but if you read the book you will also find out that in berk they did what drago did until hiccup showed them another way by talking to dragons in their tongue
14:19 of you watch the tv series you will see bigger and more terrifying dragons than the red death from the first movie as well as see who the bewilder beast really is and why it likes hiccup so much
23:37 why the fk are you yelling 'get the belts' here? really kinda ruined an otherwise pretty great reaction. i liked how you recognized the problem with joy so fast, but ugh, this ruined it
Re catnip: most but not all housecats respond to catnip, it’s a genetic trait. And yes, big cats also respond to it. There are youtube videos on both these points. You’ll find that the second HTTYD movie is even more impactful and beautiful. All three are terrific.
the allegory when Disgust uses Anger to burn the hole through the glass would probably that sometimes in emotional numbness it's the Anger that wakes you up, makes you feel something and clears path for Joy&Sadness.
nice, figuring out already at the crying at school scene that Joy shouldn't have stopped Sadness from creating the new blue core memory! so many people miss this and think Sadness is wrong there.
Fun fact: your sense of valka potentially being a villain was spot on. In the original draft of the movie, drago would have been the third movie’s villain and he would only be set up in this one, with valka being the threat. She would have been unable to believe that berk could really change so when dragos fleet attacked, thinking stoic led them there and was working with him, she would have turned against him. The final battle on berk would have been against HER bewilderbeast and it would have ended with her death. The writers were unsatisfied with it though for a number of reasons so they change the story to make Drago the second movie’s villain with his own bewilderbeast, and for stoic to die instead of valka. This left dragos role to be filled by someone new in the third movie as well.
