I use the 100-400 on an r50. I use a lower iso, open up the aperture, slow down the shutter, and drop it on top of a tripod for lower light situations. And Lightroom brings it to life. Ahh the ways of the budget shooter.
I think it's a matrer of purpose. While smartphones goal is to take a photo and immediately share it to social media. No time waste editing. Cammeras on the other hand, aren't thought to share images right away. So they don't put so much effotr on embedded colour procesing. It would be much fair to take the images to a processing software amd trying to "work" them.
You're better off with a used canon or nikon or olympus or fuji, IMO. Why? You have to buy lenses and other accessories too. You also can only shoot via looking at the screen on the back, which if you're used to shooting with phones is fine, but if you want a real camera... EG: I got a Canon 70D body with <1200 shutter actuations for $400. MUCH BETTER CAMERA IN EVERY MEANINGFUL WAY.
Hey brother i need help haha, i just bought that Canon R50, im creating talking head RU-vid content, im trying to achieve a wide shot, blurry as background with me in focus, but the stock lens cant seem to do it, its impossible basically, could you please direct me to an affordable lens with a good look that can achieve the look im trying to acquire? Btw im a total noob 😅 First time having a pro camera ever
I would recommend the RF 16mm f2.8 for that, or if you have the budget for it I’d check out the RF 24mm f1.8 to get even more of a blurry background :)
I won a Leica T from a contest, and it’s my only digital pro-camera. I lovvvve the results. The zoom feature for focusing is amazing. (I need to manual focus, coming from film cameras). Only gripe I have is that the viewfinder STILL costs $300ish used. So I’ve never used the viewfinder haha.
I have the R50 thanks to you 😉👌 I bought the canon adapter and I found some cheap RFS lenses, but I am worried the the STM motor is to loud for video? Can you help?
I didn’t expect you to reply to me, thank you man , i was ganna ask you , because its been so long that i have been searching to get the film look , so in your experience I don’t have to keep searching just practice what you said in here , and what are the best vintage lenses for canon full frame cameras
Thank you for making this video, really helpful! Unfortunately my sony camera doesnt save the settings when I turn it off. Do you know how I can fix this ? 😊
Thanks a million. This camera has been sitting in my closet for a while ( got it as a gift). Ive always used Nikon so I was a bit lost ( of sort). Your video was the best. Perfect settings for wonderful pictures. Thank you 🙏
