NO nonsense “Step-by-Step Finishing Armor” aimed at helping armor modelers improve their game.
Master Modeler Glenn Bartolotti has created quite a series with his "Step-By-Step Finishing Armor" series. Each of the volumes is a mini-master class in painting and weathering a specific armor kit or Diorama. The paints, powders and washes are all clearly identified, along with pre-shading and other painting techniques. "Armorama"
You are one of my favourite figure painter out there. Your work is amazing and you technique is impecable. I wonder if you could show us some germna winter parka the dark green/ the dark grey one tutorial. I am doing a kharkow diorama and I just can't figure how to properly blend the colours to obtain a more unique and realistic look
The resin heads are great. The figures themselves are still have that kind of rough plastic That’s not real smooth. That’s the only complaint I really have about them and some flash definitely not Tamaya figures or dragon.
Thanks Glenn. Curious, what is the part breakdown for your baking soda pudding mix? Could small amounts of baking soda be sprinkled randomly once the mix dries (if a modeler desired) or is it yellowing a risk? Love the work as always, these greatly help!
Yes, I’ve sprinkled on dried baking soda while it was still wet and it works just fine. Gives a little more texture. Just mix it up until you get that pudding. You don’t want it to be runny.👍
I think the color is just right and I thought the stones look great. But I haven't built any dioramas, I have a few I would like to do. I started them but haven't looked at them since.
That gnarly stuff for the tree foliage is rubberized horsehair…it was used as upholstery stuffing…I use it often for great shrubs and undergrowth…beautiful work on the building👍
Another amazing creation. I appreciate that you always include step by step narration and informative explanations with you videos. Thank you for sharing your work with all of us modelers here in youtube land. God bless.
This is Great! I've been using Foam for about 20 years. And if you want deeper seams just use a sharp knife to cut the seam first. Then use the Pencil or a shaped Dowel to press the seams wider and deeper! I also use Acrylic Matt Medium to seal the foam so I can use Enamel Washes or CA Adhesive without worry. You're gonna love this Foam!!!
Glenn , this vignette looks fantastic. You never throw in the towel, you always work through a problem and solve them . I always learn from these step by step lessons. Thank you for sharing your experience with all of us 😊.
Hello Glenn. Hope all is well with you. Enjoyed your video with your step-by-step commentary. Very informative as usual. You basically used the same techniques, more or less that you use with magic sculpt and applied it to the foam. Very clever how you made the tree using magic sculpt. The end result is another successful diorama. I just learned another use for oregano. They really do look like leaves and enhance the overall look of your finished work. And the figure looks great. The completed result all works together showcasing your creativity as always. Thanks again for another inspiring video. Take care and all the best.
