We believe in pulling for one another and creating a new narrative for women on two wheels. Our goal is to help women wake up feeling empowered to tackle any challenge the day brings and we believe the bike is a great way to get there. We do so through our three pillars: events, content and products.
Ive never had a problem getting bibs off to #1 or #2… I unzip my Jersey and pull the bib straps down my arms. The Jersey just wraps itself into your bib straps as you pull them off your shoulders and it sits down behind your calves while you do your business.
I ride before breakfast. Walk before breakfast, swim before breakfast. I do it for over 30 years. Your theory are note for all. My goal is to be healthly and second fit, and I am 😊 i'm 44
This is brilliant. My wife has found the problem of not being able to ENJOY bib shorts. We have them with long warm legs for winter use. But in winter we are wearing many layers to keep warm. It is so hard for her to go to the toilet. It wouldn't be so bad for summer because there are no extra layers to worry about. But given that I can pull the FRONT down ( as a male) being able to pull the BACK down ( for a female) would give her the same benefits that I get. I hope that your idea catches on.
I was wondering why you couldn't remove the straps through the arm holes of your jersey the way women remove bra straps without taking their shirts off?
Is this the manufacturers fault or what woman buy more. Have woman been conditioned by marketing. Like why are there pink hammers? Why is p9nk a woman's colour and blue a man's colour? It wasn't always this way. If the majority of woman had a choice will they by the fragrance over the non fragrance? Is there marketing proof or is the company stereotyping woman's choice? What came first, the marketing or the preference?
Bib shorts are the same problem for men when you need to go to the bathroom. Why don't you name the material you chose? Why don't you name the overpriced brand and material that wore out in two years? I like the idea of the thigh band. Thigh length is a problem for every one. Hope you go on to design better men's shorts next.
I'm not a woman but I can surely sympathize. It sounds like you are doing something amazing and I hope it comes to fruition. Being comfortable in doing any sport helps to keep doing the sport and cycling is a great sport to keep doing. I'm an older guy but I rarely ever see older women cycling. It would be nice to have women more my age enjoying doing the same thing I enjoy doing. I think Assos are already making bibs similar to what you describe but they are really expensive.
"Chamois", not "shammy"! Chamois are goat-antelope creatures which traditionally provided Chamois leather, made from their hide, which is very smooth and absorbent
This is so true. I use to train on an empty stomach to burn fat.....dumb. My first long ride doing 80 grams of carbs an hour was so eye opening. As was said I finished as strong as I started. Now even on relaxed casual rides I always have carbs on hand. Energy bars are good but I love maple syrup in 5oz refillable soft squeeze flasks. It's very economical when you buy maple syrup in 1 litre bottles.
thank you so much for this interview. dr. sims literally changed my life. a few months ago i bought her book, peak performance (roar in german). until this day i was so unsatisfied with my body and was always comparing to men when i was cycling. i never ate before or during my rides and was obsessed with counting calories. since i read this book i changed everything and it is such a relief for me. i feel so much better. i really hope that this womans voice will be heard more and more, because we needed this change. i finally can accept that i was already a good cyclist before, but now i can start pushing it to a whole new level. i mean i finally stopped bullying myself. her advice was so overdue. all the best!
Oh I rinse them almost every day (just to keep them nice and shinny) of course! I just use a really good microfibre towel and they're like new. I've had them for a year now and they're definitely my go-to glasses, I think they've stretched a little bit after so much wear but I've been told I can take them to any glasses shop and they will re-size them for me. Also I've dropped them a few times and they seem to be holding up well, so thats good!
I have been using this women’s version and every single time it gives me bladder infection. I change my bibs every ride, keep it clean, but it still happens.
AGH the worst! UTIs need to be discussed way more in relation to cycling. I also change my bibs everytime and often have a similar problem. One thing that has been helpful is using a flushable wet-wipe after I do my morning business before putting on any type of cream -- I find in addition to the shitty perfumes, the cream helps spread any bacteria that may be lurking so give that a shot? I'll be reviewing more creams soon!
My problem with testing MIPS is that it is done WITHOUT the body attached to the head. And body is vastly changing the way the head is moving inside the helmet. It's as if car crash tests would be done without entire human dummy model, but just the head. What would be the point of doing that this way? There wouldn't be any. For me as long as tests aren't done as much to the real world as possible, they are just marketing. Using "validated" models in a wrong way isn't changing that.
If you made more videos like this you would have way more subs I need a whole series where the two girls have to pee and the one with regular shorts always ends up not having enough time, until she finally buys the shorts and is able to pee in time like the other girl, that would be hilarious
this was fantastic! so much great info…i’m a 52yr old IM distance triathlete turned cyclist and having all sorts of fatigue and low performance issues, and after listening to this I realized that my fueling strategy is so misguided! I’ve listened to several of Dr Stacy’s interviews, which are packed with knowledge and insight, and was thrilled to find this one pertaining specifically to women cyclists. going to subscribe to the channel and join Dr Stacy’s email list.
This video just shows the stupidity of influencer advertisement. Not the helmet is the problem. The helmet is good. Your choice is the problem. You chose the wrong helmet. That’s why the POC didn’t fit. To say that a helmet in this price range is not good (what you did) is just nonesense and shows, that people choose the brand and not the right product.
