After a few days behind the scenes at the 2024 Tour de Suisse Women's, I was totally amazed at Demi. Not only because of her impressive speed on the bike but the way she carried herself throughout various scenarios during the tour.
If you've ever been bonked/hangry before you know how hard it can be to answer questions or smile when you just want to lay down and cry but I watched as Demi got up off the ground and smiled for a selfie with kids just minutes after winning the time-trial, an all out effort. I was super impressed with her overall professionalism and was curious how she manages to turn those emotions off AND how she is able to separate her professional cycling life to her private passions.
FINALLY, I had to ask Demi if she sees it when we try to go after her Strava QOMs here in Switzerland where she is now based.
