@user-ss5vx8sj7r You are correct. They do differ. Here is the link to the peel test video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YVAuaqvxGYU.html
@buckeye9252 Honestly can't remember. But it was a pressed board material. About as this as I could find it. I stayed away from the wood because it was cheaper to go with the pressed material. But some of the wood options were thinner and pretty nice. Hope this helps.
@autovice I had the same problem with my 2010 Challenger RT. It had the factory MOPAR cai, and a catch can. They failed it on visual inspection. I went home and changed everything back, and it passed. It's just more Fu,,,,, BS here in CA. Other States hate us as if they even had a clue.
@hobonickel840 I've never tried. But these tend to stretch and hold together due to the rubber in the paint. So I would guess they would peel off all together with the tape.
@@autovice yeah .. I might try it but find the sweet spot in between paint being still wet enough to peel the tape away and leave clean edge . thanks 👍
Great mat I just installed one in my ranger only problem is I can't get thecab edge to lay flat ,raining now but later when these comes out I can lay it in the driveway!
This seems like a common issue. I just had this issue and that’s what prompted me to look up a video. my truck would not turn off and instead would cycle between accessory and run only. I ended up leaving it on accessory, exiting the vehicle, locking it, unlocking it, got back inside and it finally allowed me to turn it back off. Might have just been luck though
Ive used all brands, odly enough plastidip seems to be the worst in its own class. custom wrap looks the best, easiest to apply, easiest to remove, and has amazing longevity
Good video I just wish you peeled them to see if there were any issues with that aspect after them being on for that long. I know they are all designed to peel but would have been interested to see those results.
Major problem I ran into is that my 5th GEN has the sport hood... it doesnt fit the hood, the rear 2/3 doesnt seal against the bottom of the hood. So so much for me getting this one.
My 2020 Rebel just did this in my driveway. Just trying all kinds of things. Husband put in reverse, backed up a little, then drove back forward… that worked. It shut down. We restarted and stopped a few more times for good measure. Almost 50K miles.
During the dyno runs and the discussion in their shop, the only thing I could hear is air spewing from an air hose or something and yelling in the background. I didn’t understand a word anyone said. If you test the cold air intakes on a different day the differences in air density or temperatures will make a bigger difference on performance than the different air intakes. The results will be unreliable unless tested under the same air density.
I just had the same problem this morning. I drove to work 20 minutes, went to shut the Rebel off and nope. The screen would but not the truck. It ran for about 1 1/2 hours the timer didn't even shut it off. I ended up hitting the start / stop button 5 times fast and by chance it shut off. I brought it back to the dealer where I bought it from so now I'll wait to see what happens.
@Kee-Von I think these are perfect for what you are looking for. More aggressive, but great mileage and they are smooth and pretty quiet for highway driving.
Thank you for your video. My husband currently has the same situation and in the back it does show some type of leak on the roof. Right now we’re stuck with a truck that doesn’t turn off.
Gotta love stellantis saying fuck you to the people spending tens of thousands on their products and preventing them from even pulling trouble codes, let alone being able to tune the vehicles they paid for.
@danielnation9123 Thanks! I would buy again for sure. I sold the pathfinder about a year after this review so I wasn't able to get a final milage on the tires.
I’ve used all 4 paints as well. In terms of ease of use, I would say 1. Dupli-color (this one sprays on like a dream. Nice wide Evan spray) 2. Plasti dip (pretty midrange, on par with a regular spray paint.) 3. Rugged coat (thick narrow spray) 4. Rustoluem peel coat (I hate this one. The spray and application was horrible)
Thank you..thank you and thanks. Many videos on RU-vid talks about "it won't start" and you're the 1st person that explains what's going on with my 2019 Ram. I even called the dealership and they said "starter" which made no sense to me. But I disconnected the battery over the night and next day the truck is acting like nothing happened. I'm sure it's going to happen and so thank you sir
@martys4814 Really? I almost went with that instead of the Vararam, but it's so expensive. I was worries it wouldn't be worth it. But I do like the look of the Ram Air Flow more than the Vararam.
The Mopar version is bad ass looking... But none of these make a difference even going down the road . I have a road test video on this.. running 2 times both directions all avged the same exact get and mph with a dragy
testing all wrong hood open no fans in front of the truck. it's designed to work with the hood shut and air getting rammed into grill. I do not get this test?
@andyholland6401 Thanks for the feedback. I know the Vararam works better with the air flow and hood closed. But I did the initial baseline test on the stock intake and aFe intake with the hood open and no fan. So in order to get the most accurate results, it was important to keep everything as close together as possible. Keeping that in mind, the Vararam still came out ahead and we can expect even better results on the road.
I have a 2016 ram rebel. Been driving it for a total of nine days. I just installed my vararm this morning and drove from Mass to New York. The difference in power and torque was felt immediately. I thought i was just gawking over the new item but nope this thing is for real
@Ghost-ri4xn I'm sure you felt a big difference on that drive. I had my doubts too. But after driving it myself and seeing the numbers, I'm a believer too.
@@BlackRam17 I wouldn’t have been able to tell unfortunately. I got the vararam a week after I bought the truck and installed immediately so I don’t have a baseline. Sorry
