As a fellow long time Alpine Lake fisherman I'd sure like to see you swap those treble hooks for a single barbless, unless you intend to catch and consume, which may be the case here. All the best!
hey! any sections that you needed to carry your dog on? Thinking of heading up with mine.. I live in the Canadian Rockies so he is used to lots of hiking, just curious on this trail?
You can! That view can be seen at Washington Pass on Hwy 20/north Cascades Highway in Washington State. There’s a short trail that takes you to a wonderful view point.
We had a pretty crazy descent, right after we submitted a big lightning storm rolled in. We hid in the tent at camp for about an hour until it passed, and then started back down - our permit was just for one night. I think in total the way back was 11 miles. api-v5.alltrails.com/explore/recording/evening-hike-at-mount-whitney-trail-aa1b6b2?p=-1&sh=ud7hlu
It took just about 5 hours, going fast. Another hiker we met took over 12 hours though, so it all depends. The trail is somewhat well marked with ribbon on trees and rocks along the trail, but I did take a few wrong turns.
Treating fish like you did at 1:58 and 2:48 (dry hands, grabbing and hanging them by your lure) is what kills them and ruins fragile fisheries. Also making youtube/instagram/tiktpok videos to promote your channel and drive crowds. Please learn how to catch and release trout and don't blow up places via the internet.
Here it is! Day 0: Pragser Wildsee Day 1: Rifugio Fanes Day 2: Rifugio Scoiatolli Day 3: Rifugio Palafavera Day 4: Rifugio Vazzoler Day 5: Rifugio San Sebastino Day 6: Rifugio Pian de Fontana
i climbed her back in the late 1990s didnt have a good camera weird to see the route the landscape of the route is very ingrained in my memory beautiful.
Look up “Gunn Peak Trail”, but just be aware that it is a scramble route and not exactly an established trail. The tarn is a little off the trail that AllTrails has listed.
Congratulations. I just did the STP for the first time. I did it in 2 days. It was life changing. The single biggest challenge I have taken on. Great video man.
