Thank you! Got my first furby the other day at the thrift shop and the poor thing reeked of cigarettes and had discolored fur. Was intimidated to skin it but this helped!
I'm 14, I love furbies! I do have a limited edition graduation Furby I got at the end of 5th grade in original box, unopened, that my dad got me. He was actually original price, 30 dollars off of Mercari, despite being an unopened limited edition. I also have 2 connects, I'm getting another 1998 in a week!
I generally don't like reading but house of leaves is probably my favorite book. I feel like if you read it like a book, you're probably not gonna like. It's an intentionally bloated series of rabbit holes that you can choose to go down or ignore. If you're trying to get a clear story out of it, sure you're gonna think its pretentious but that's just not what it's trying to do. The book is about a pretentious and convoluted manuscript that the main character is obsessing over trying to decipher and that's the same experience you're supposed to get from reading it.
What's happening! The latest video is all about a true crime documentary, and it required a hefty 14-hour commitment. I'm eager to hear your thoughts, so feel free to express any positive or negative feedback. Stay well!
I seriously fell in love with this book when I first listened to it on audible. And I've listened to it likely three times already granted listening to other books in between, but I keep going back to this one. One of the reasons is because I have a pinched nerve in my back so my legs are practically useless right now and have been for the last few months, but before that happened I did a lot of walking and even though I doubt that I would survive this kind of race where you have to keep a 4 mi an hour pace day and night, I'd definitely like to see how far I would get even though I know I wouldn't make it to the end. A lot of people tell me that I'm a really fast walker and that some people can't keep up with me and I literally have to stop in order for them to catch up. Also just in Garrity's mind you feel their pain, especially in the state that my legs are in when he talks about how your feet and your legs are hurting like mad and here's a spoiler, the first boy to go down goes down because he has a really bad Charlie horse and I'm having Charlie horses almost every night so I empathize with that boy even though thank heavens I'm not in a race where I would get shot for having those. So yeah I really identify with some of the boys in this book because of my current condition. Which is likely why I continue to go back to it once I finish listening to maybe one or two other books and will continue to.
I got scammed and it reminded me of this video. Paid £18 for a Furby, I was told it was fully working apart from being mute.. Came late, absolutely disgusting, smelling like 🍁 and barely even working, AND it was damaged from being taken apart beforehand, which I also was not told about. Took me 15 resets to make it work decently.. Had LOADS of bug poop in the skin in the face area and corrosion in the battery compartment. I’m going to clean the battery compartment with white vinegar and make a new skin for them(still washing the old one for storage or selling) inshaallah. I’m glad you at least knew these would be nasty.. Wasn’t a nice surprise, lol.
The longest _real_ novel is A Norwegian In The Family, about 5x the length of War & Peace, although it is not published. It is also a titanically great work of art (yes I have read it, it's worth reading).
Replying to an old video so I doubt anyone will see this, but I regret not grabbing more of the Hodder books when I should have. I literally can't find them anywhere now. And the ones I do are pricey 💀
This book is super disturbing and quite boring. It's just a bunch of guys walking down the street getting shot without any backstory or character development. Don't get the hype around this one given how many other, better King books are out there.
wish I'd seen this a few hours ago before I opened my first ever 1998 furb. Opened him in my bedroom, decided to give a little sniff to see if there was any foul odour (none luckily, just musty basement smell) and moments later I'm in a pretty scary asthma attack, much worse than I've had in years. I'm guessing he's trapped a lot of dust since he's got a tiny hint of sun damage in the eyes, suggesting he was probably on a shelf for a long period of time.
Is it normal for my furbys faceplate to have no screws? Like... None at all? It's just held it with glue... The metal screw holder bits are just plastic, I'm really confused lol
Just skinned three of my old furbies, none of them had any screws just glue around their face which is weird because they all have in all the tutorials I've seen 🤔 I'm glad tho because I wasn't sure I had the right screwdriver lol They're drying as I write this, pray for me I put their skin back on properly 🤣 Only thing this tutorial is missing is that last part 🙏🏻
I just got a 1998 NIB pink flamingo furby. It didn't work when I put batteries in it, but I watched videos on how to get it working. It is moving now finally, but there is no sound. I legit have been crying, bc I'm scared to do this!! (skin) I don't even think I can change a speaker. Sorry for coming here to say all this. This is my first Furby!! 🥺😢
Lately i decided to read a lot of stephen king in publication order, and the best part of finishing one is coming to your channel and seeing your discussion on it.
