Whoa! Interesting list. Guessing since you didn't live the Crüe in the 80s, you have a totally different view. My list is completely flipped from yours. Although Generation Swine hits the absolute bottom. I did a ranking vid. Different vibe entirely.

Love this movie!! Love all of Linda Blaire's movies!! 💗♥️💗 To answer your question regarding the ending. Everyone assumes Julia is dead from the car explosion, she has no reason or desire to go back to the family she was residing with. She obviously enjoys causing chaos for everyone and anyone.

This is awesome Sean. I wanted to chime in that in the winter of 78' I believe Kiss took a year off after the solos were released. I met an amazing Kiss fan in 1990, who was the biggest Kiss fan in a small town I had recently moved to. Actually, he was the uncle of one of my best friends. And when I met him by chance in the summer of 90', I was completely fascinated with the 70's Kiss lineup. I was also a fan of the 80's lineup with Bruce and Eric Carr. Now we got to talking and he told me why Kiss called the Dynasty tour, The Return of KISS. He said he was a diehard Kiss Army member from 1975 thru 1978. Yet by 1979 he was no longer a fan per se, since he thought the Dynasty album was disco. He wasn't a disco type of guy. But he asked me if I had ever found a copy of a late 70's music magazine with Kiss on the cover, the headlines read: KISS Dead, A World In Mourning, The New Gene... and I said no. But already my friend's uncle had me very intrigued and he said the magazine was trying to pull a similar thing like that of The Beatles where Paul McCartney was rumored to have died mysteriously. He proceeded to tell me the Kiss magazine sold for $1.95 in 1978, but that finding one even by 1990's standards was ultra rare, almost nonexistent actually unless you attended a Kiss Convention. And I'm not certain how many of these particular magazines there actually were. So I'm all ears. I listened as he relates the story of reading about his favorite super hero rock group had supposedly died and were replaced by impostures. He reassured me the magazine was fake news about Kiss. Even so the actual magazine does exist. I just seen two copies for sale at a staggering $100 and $106!!! Naturally I'm not made of moolah and I hope to find a copy of said magazine somewhere for a lot less. All that he told me and we talked about came flooding back when I watched your documentary and it made sense to me as to why their 79' Dynasty tour was called "The Return of KISS". Pre-internet days was challenging and quite difficult finding anything about the 70's Kiss if you didn't know any of the first generation Kiss fans that is that held onto their collections. I remember my friend's uncle graciously gave me a 78' Peter Criss song book, two re-prints of 70's Kiss poster/centerfolds (one of which I'm still searching to this very day to replace). It was of Kiss in their early makeup stages right about 73'- 74' ish and it was after Paul dropped the Bandit makeup. These posters/ centerfolds were from an issue of Guitar magazine. He also gave me three Don Russ Ace Frehley trading cards from series one. He unfortunately lost almost his entire Kiss collection in a basement flood in 1990 the same month I moved to town. Otherwise, he said he would have also given me his three sets of 77' Mego dolls. That's three Ace's, Three Paul's, Three Peter's, and Three Gene's all in their original boxes. I nearly flipped! That would have been the modern day equivalent of hitting the lottery three times over and for a young Kiss fan like I was with little next to nothing. It would have been a dream come true for me. My friend's uncle during the 70's bought up what he could of Kiss and kept it nice until the basement flooded. 😢 He was also going to give me the Kiss Chevy van (box and everything), but lost it too. Unfortunately, I wore out the Ace trading cards he gave me I carried them on my person all the time. Years later I bought replacement copies (including duplicates) to carry on me. Those cards and more importantly, his generosity and knowledge of Kiss meant the world to me. I used to carry a pencil and index cards on my person at all times. I wish I kept those index cards. I had filled up several with our conversation that day. This is a fascinating documentary Sean. Thank you for sharing. I just wanted to share my piece of Kisstory with other Kiss Army members. 😊❤

the Axe is one of the most iconic instruments in the history of rock. I wanted to build one, but also wanted to be able to sit down and play without chopping my leg off, so I came up with my own design, partly inspired by it.

Nice review my man I agree there are several clunkers in there, but I bought this album when it first came out. I was still in high school. I was 17 years old. I was probably the only person I knew who actually bought the album. I was a big fan of his singing voice. I like this album, but I don’t think it was a wise decision to open a new solo album with a slower ballad type song although I love the song “By Myself” when it goes into the chorus “for once in my life, I’ve got a chance and I’ll take it” It is amazing! The melodies are strong and like you said the guitar work is really good along with the piano work although I don’t think there should be piano in every damn song! lol All in all I thought it was a pretty damn good album and produced very well. It had a clean sound and Peter’s voice is awesome. “Feel Like Letting Go” is also a really good song, but unfortunately, there are no true rockers on the album like “Baby Driver” or “Hooligan” you can truly tell that Peter was at a very sensitive time in his life and doing a lot of soul-searching. I like it, but I do not listen to it very often at all anymore. It is hard to believe the album did not even chart. That is insane!

In my opinion, Peter’s ‘78 solo album was BY FAR the BEST solo album he did. I think he thought after the success of “Beth” he literally thought could make it on his own but ended up falling on his face. Huge disappointing album as well as his future solo albums

There's a new 2024 Video on Gibson YT channel that looks into some incredible Paul Stanley guitars, especially his 70's stuff. Your correct Paul used the Steinberger guitars at a time when he was having health issues, he needed a light guitar onstage. This is exposed in Paul's book but semi glossed over so you need to join the dot's yourself. You do notice his mobility onstage starts to decline during the 90's, it's also the time period when his voice begins to break down. His vocal peak was around the 88 tour era. By the time the 2000's came around Paul was at times really struggling vocally. Paul's guitar playing has always been amazing, he's a great guitarist who's often overshadowed by whoever is on lead guitar.

Gene Simmons was good at playing the bad guy and he did a good job at appearing in films where he fit the role. For me his highlights in cinema are the films Runaway and Wanted: Dead or Alive which he starred opposite of Rutger Hauer, he’s actually very serviceable in these films and I do believe that him being in Kiss ultimately led to being in films just a secondary endeavor.

I remember Gene made an appearance on an episode of Tales Of The Unexpected. It was quirky, campy, and kind of funny, so was OK to watch, but still not high art. Also with a TV episode it's over more quickly, rather than with a feature length film to get tired of.
