Hey guys and welcome to todays video where I wanted to share with you how to use my favourite anti-ageing skincare hack of combining The Ordinary Argireline and The Ordinary Matrixyl... I would love to know if you have tired this hack and what your thoughts are on it so please let me know in the comments section below.. Sending you lots of love xx
I’ve had the same results as you. I do get actual botox on my elevens only. So this has worked well in conjunction. But my brow has lifted a touch, and my forehead lines are smoother.
I was thinking of using the buffet all over my face in the mornings and the argireline twice a day on targeted areas. Has anyone tried this combo? What are your thoughts? I have used the buffet regularly in the past and saw no results, but I guess peptides are more about keeping things looking good in the long run rather than an instant fix. I am starting to notice my 11 lines more and more, and what to put off Botox as much as possible.
@@barbarar5869 I tried buffet before, it was useless. This time I have used argirline and matrixyl twice daily for about one month, the skin under my eyes is becoming sagging! Now I have to stop the combination. Really disappointed with the ordinary, even the resveratrol 3% did nothing to me
@@mayitbe6606 I sometimes wonder if my skin is just pretty healthy and maybe I don't see any results because there isn't really much to improve (with just skincare)? Because I have tried lots of different products, and I never notice any differences! But in the case of some products, it's really about maintenance and prevention, so that's why we don't see the results we are hoping for. Or maybe our standards are too high 😂
The only contribution I’ve got to this topic is to not neglect your neck and décolletage area. When you hit your 40s your neck will show all the creasing you’ve gained from sleeping etc. Another tip is to apply excess product on the back of the hands too as it’s also another place that reveals ageing.
@@jenbarclay4679 I've recently been "graced" with multiple deep creases in my neck that have developed a persistent rash from the warmer weather. Apparently the creasing is from mobile device overuse. It's called "tech neck" I've been told. The sagging from ageing doesn't help things either. Sigh.
Yes every night I put a sample retinol on my hands that I usually get in my Ipsy bag! Then when I bathe or shower I always use a retinol oil all over my neck down to boobs and my back!! Then in the morning I use 100spf on my neck and chest!! I also use my leg spf spray on my hands!
Holy moley, you weren’t wrong! I’m 51 and just started these and alternate the buffet with a good moisturizer. Game changer big time. If you’re on the fence, do it. Definitely holy grail. Thanks so much Rob!
Because of you I bought these (and the copper buffet) during the November sale. I was skeptical. (I have used Botox in the past but it’s been 4 years). I’ve just been mixing them in my palm and applying twice a day. I also do the buffet in the evenings. I’m MUCH older than you (in my 60’s) and I noticed to my horror I was getting “smokers” wrinkles! I only smoked 3 cigarettes when I was 14 and I rarely drink out of a straw. WHY!!?? I always started applying where I got Botox and my upper lip, then the whole face. After 2 months I noticed a difference!!! I will try your method next! I’m in love with this hack!
Hello! 🙂 1. Can I use the Buffet serum instead of the Matrixyl? 2. How can I incorporate the C Glow serum from Geek & Gorgeous? 3. How can I incorporate the Pycnogenol serum from The Ordinary? Thank you in advance! ⚘
I was shocked to learn today that you don’t need to use a ‘buffering product’ after a bha exfoliant or other low ph product 😳😳 the reason is that it’s impossible for a high ph product to make a lower ph product ineffective and vice versa. Your skin naturally equalizes to its normal ph within an hour. You don’t need to wait 20 minutes either, because the ingredients used to establish a product’s ph range are strong enough to stay within the ph range no matter what you apply at the same time. Just another fairytale from the cosmetics industry 🤥 anyone who reads this, spend your money on other things than a buffering serum or toner
Hi Rob. Have been using this combo since December and I am sure it has helped with fine lines. Will up my game using it this way now too. For the price, it's a great step in my routine and one I will not be without. Am so glad I've found the joy of skincare in the last 12 months. It makes getting up in the morning a pleasure. Pot of tea, skincare and a MAS video. Bliss 😊
I've been using these two serums for a little over a year, and the results have been amazing! I couldn't be more impressed and will continue to enjoy the benefits of these items for a long long time! Def a staple in my routine now
I don’t see using tretinoin to be a problem. Tretinoin is a must have for me. I went to school for skin. I use several different products. I’ll mix some moisturizer with my tretinoin. So try that out. Also I use tretinoin on my neck, chest, and hands. Mixed with a good hyaluronic lotion. Or switch off sometime. I use tretinoin about three to four days a week. Hope this helps. ❤
*Tip everything you used on this clip can be wiped on the back of your hands🙏 And don't forget your neck & decolletage ❤ I'm using the ageraline for a year now and love it! 💘 Thanks for the tip combining it with the matrixyl.
Quick question? In the morning if using vitamin C, where would it follow in the routine you described in video. Love your content spot on. Thank you! 🙂🧡
It took at least a month for me to see any small change with the argireline and matrixl combo. But I have an entire The Ordinary routine specific for day and night, and my skin (and now hair) needs.
I really appreciate your Channel!!!! Please respectfully Please slow down your speech. You talk way to fast!!! I’m sorry but it is hard to follow CANT hear all the important instructions because it is so fast I have to rewind several times. You are such a wealth of information!!!! Your Amazing I would hate to have to resources someone else for information!!! Thank You for your time.
Aww Rob, my video-ray of sunshine in the evening ❤️ Love the combo of the two products, interestingly I like the Matrixyl even more than the Agireline. I’ll be using your affiliate link right away, I need some Deciem stuff. Thank you for being so generous! 💛💙
Its a pleasure hun and its just a small way of us playing our part.. I hope your having the most amazing start to the week and sending you lots of love xxxxxx
I just found your channel. You're so fun to watch!! Thank you for your tips. I'm going to try this combination. When do you put on your Vitamin C serum?
I raise my eyebrows a LOT so I'm starting to get deep forehead lines (it also runs in the family 🙃) so I do like to put the argireline to my whole forehead as well tbh
Heard argireline works best on more mature people with thinner skin. I’m a 28yo asian with little to no wrinkles so my skin is probably on the thicker side. Hoping to see results anyway.
I am so grateful to you for that video and for your support of ukrainians. I am ukrainian and i ask you PLEASE DO NOT DONATE TO RED CROSS. You can support us by donating to United 24, for example.
I will definitely try this hack as I have Matrixyl and I am just out of Argiriline but will buy it and give it some time to work. Thanks for the tip xx
I forgot the mixing part!!! The best part is that I can move these to my morning routine and have some benefits from both in my buffet with copper peptides! This reminds me that I need to run grab my mail because I have something from the inkey list! ♥️ you xxxooo
Such a helpful video! Would the same I apply if I use a vit c serum (timeless) and want to then go in with the Argireline and Matryxl? So I would apply vit c, then spray with a hydrating mist , followed my argireline and matryxl? Xx
Thanks for explaining so well how to use the two ordinary peptides . I bought them after watching your original video and have noticed a difference around my eyes. Definitely going to use them the way you described. Thanks Rob
OMG!! Me too!!! And that’s why I was reading the comments! To see if anyone else does too! Do you prefer Timeless to TO when it comes to Matrixyl?? I’m sure you obviously like the other benefits of Timeless’s CoQ10? I’ve only been using it about five weeks so I’m still new to it. Do you use this routine once or twice a day? Have you seen results? Any other serums you use? Thanks so much in advance!
I’ve been loving your videos for awhile. You’re just so adorable & calming to watch … thank you for all the great info!!! Trying this combination soon! 💖
Ciao Bello(gorgeous in Italian! I call my grandson that)!! Allways on point dear!! I appreciate your videos very much!! Thanks a million for being there!!I never knew you could use Argeline and Matrixyl after an exfoliator!! I use mandelic acid ..so after I can do that mix?and your serum after? Fantastic!!!💙💙💙💙
I have used them for about 2 months and nothing not a single thing happened. Also the HA on winter dry my skin out even more because of the lack of moisture in the air
I worry I'll get the same result and am considering increasing my chances by ordering SubQ instead of Matrixyl. From what I understand, you need to apply HA on damp skin so that the water is used by HA to continually hydrate through the day.
The truth us this gentleman uses botox. I don't know his channel, and I'm not sure if he ever mentions using botox or not, but I'll just say you're not gonna get the smoothness of his forehead with these products. They're nice, but they don't yield these results. And the bit wheb he mentions using it in between the brows to create a brow lift/peak...that's just not gonna happen without botox. 🙃
I adore you! I ordered the ordinary argirelin and after I watched your videos about the topic I ordered the matryxil too...I can't wait to use them! Thank you for your videos, always so informative! ❤️
Very well explained and demonstrated. I also use this mix every morning. Love it. 👌🏻👍🏻 And I was even thinking to add the Buffet to the mix since it also contains the synake peptide. Synake is supposed to be similar to argireline. But I will see if 3 products is not a bit too much. 🤣
I use the Ordinary Copper Peptide. Would I use this before or after the Argireline or should I mix it with the Copper Peptide? Do you mean you get the Brow Lift by using the Argirelene between your eyebrows on the forehead frown? Could you also mix the Argireline with hyalurinuc acid?
New to the channel/ skincare routines in general and just wanted to say THANK YOU for the easy to understand, great advice and honesty you give. I'm really glad I came across your channel as I recently started Tretinoin/serious about sunscreen and learning what my skin likes/ dislikes. Seen GREAT results in short time. Actually find myself looking forward to my skin care each day.
1. Can you show before and after pics of women over 55? How many weeks til u see a diff? 2. Are we just supposed to believe you this works? 3. Where’s the photos supporting the wrinkle reduction, esp mature women?
Wait, but we use vitamin C serum in the morning, so where's that in the steps. Also, I'm confused because the rule is to apply thinner products first. However, in your other video, you said to use vitamin C serum first, then centella asiatica, and then the peptides. What is the correct order? I'm losing my mind 😅
Hey Rob, love this channel, I've learnt so much about skincare - thank you. I'm struggling to fit Argireline and Matrixyl into my routine because you can't use them with Vit C and Salicylic Acid. I like to use Vit C with the Geek & Gorgeous A-Game 5 serum at night and I like to use Face Theory Supergel Oil-free moisturiser in the day because it's so light. Any advice? x
Hello, I was just wondering, how long does it take before you actually start seeing results? I think using the two products in combination for at least three weeks and I was wondering how long it took before I see my skin. Thanks a lot😊
Hi Rob I wish I thought this would work for me. It's all the HA though that puts me off. In your routine the Lactic acid, matrixyl and argirilene all have around 2% HA - that's a lot of HA in a routine. My skin is really sensitive to HA and it can cause both irritation and rebound dryness. I've had to recently cut some of my faves that include a more than miniscule amount of this ingredient eg the cosrx snail mucin. I was struggling with my skin for weeks and weeks - couldn't work out what was causing the rosacea flares. I've used the cosrx snail mucin for around three years on and off - turns out my skin has developed a reaction to it. I also was having a lot of problem with the green water bomb toner and the common denominator is HA. I knew the hada labo skincare didn't work for me and the gold premium lotion everyone loves stings/burns on my skin, but I thought it was the different molecular weights in that product (particularly the low molecular weight HA). I have cut as much HA from my routine as possible and my skin is so much happier again. I am using a peptide serum (Indeed labs collagen booster) on my neck and chest, but my face is only getting the peptides in the Niod MG. Instead of HA I'm using beta glucan and ectoin as my main humectants, along with the ever present glycerine which my skin likes so much better. I'm really glad it is working well for both you and many others though. Best wishes.
I heard Hyaluronic acid can sometimes pull moisture from the air and dry out your skin if you live in a drier climate. I suppose if you live where there’s more moisture in the air, it’s more beneficial. Skincare is very individual for sure. We all just need to develop a skincare routine that works for us as individuals. I did buy the argireline serum recently and will see how long it takes for benefits. I am going to try the Matrixyl serum and mix them together. I hope it helps😀
I have the same problem with HA but only in the winter months, during the humid spring/summers in NYC, my skin loves it! As the other reply somewhat states, if there’s not enough moisture in the air the HA will pull the moisture from the deeper layers of your skin and dry you out. But if there’s an excess of water in the air, I find that the HA steals what it needs from the environment instead, and I then get the results everyone else raves about.
@@janedarc7731 Lol Scotland is rarely a humid place, although it is today funnily enough. I'm glad it is working for you though in the warmer weather. Even with hot/humid weather my skin doesn't seem to like it much and other humectants work better for me. Thanks though.
@@lorainemcgillivray77 darn! I was hoping to give back a little because I’m totally stealing your preferred humectant picks for the winter months😉 Thanks for your comment, I can’t wait to try them!🙏👏 And sorry that my input ended up being useless🙁
@@janedarc7731 The aim of most comments is to add something extra to the discussion. If my picks are helpful then that's all to the good and I hope they work for you too. trying to help is never a waste of time and it may end up helping someone else. x
I usually don t comment videos, but after watching this, I need to tell you. It is absolutely helpful for all of us (your friends). By the way, please try to speak as slowly as you can, for your friends from abroad. Lits of Kisses from Greece
Just ordered w the cleanser special but wonder since I use both vitamin c and lactic acid every day if I could alternate one day the peptides, next day the acids? I also ordered the Hylamide skin you recommended and am saving up for the niod copper amino product. Thank you💕from California
Hi Rob, just wanting some advice please , I’ve been using timeless VitC in the same routine with buffet +copper peptides , but I do wait at least an hour in between the products , in the evening I use buffet +copper peptides with my prescription Tret again with a longer time up to 3hrs sometimes , anyway I want to start adding Argireline & Matrixal to both of my routine what’s the best way to do this, I also use ordinary caffeine eye solution can that still be used along side the other products I’m interested in introducing or is this over kill Thank you in advance
I always apply subq skin followed by Matrixyl (all over) then the rest of my skin care on...have you tried this??? Makes the skin look bouncy and light reflective 😇💫!! Also the Matrixyl DOES contain castor oil.
Yes I have done this combination twice a day since I heard it from you. The result? The baby butt I can see and even feel by hands on my face (I use it for my whole face actually 😅). This combination is insanely amazing 🤩🤩🤩.
Collagen toner. Then Matrixyl 1st. After about 3 minutes apply the Arguireline, then caffine eye product on eyey. Then facial mist, then hyleronic acid cream, then spf.
Helped my pore size, and my makeup goes on better, and of course, I never forget my neck and chest. I have a huge line across my forehead and the products seem to tighten it, less noticeable.
I use the Argireline before, during and after I’ve demarolled. I also use the Hylamide subq. Wasn’t really interested in using the Matrixyl as I swear by my Subq 💕
This is the kind of information people are looking for.... what a great skincare routine looks like and a video to follow! The argireline serum caused skin irritation on my skin, but I'm thinking about trying the two together (with matrixyl) again. I sure hope Deciem is treating you well because you deserve it!!🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Happy Tuesday Patti... Thank you so so much for your kind words.. You know what Deciem have always been so kind to me, I never do sponsored content but they still email to check in, always answer questions and increased the commission for our fundraiser so we can raise even more so honestly i can't fault them as a brand.. Love you so so much xxxxx
Hi hun, I think you can use either but for long term benefits I would go for the copper peptide as this will help with collagen.. hope this helps.. love x
Thanks! I really wanted to try it and now I know how ❤️ I am not sure about Chlorphenesin as an ingredient though... what is your take on the ingredient list?
Hello! I've always used a moisturizer at bedtime and that's it, but I think I need to start taking care of myself a little better now. Could you please advise me on the routine to follow? I'm new to this and I don't understand anything, I don't know how to do it. Thanks in advance and blessings!
Anyone know how to include TO Argireline + Matrixyl,Tranexamic & Azelaic Acids into your skincare routine or should we only use Argireline + Matrixyl OR Tranexamic + Azelaic Acids never all 4 products at the same time?
I am going to try these ordinary products soon. I’ve been giving No7 future renew serum ago with my Dennis gross spf 30 in daytime .. then every night time a prescription grade tretinoin 0.1 % pea size amount mixed cereve face / body lotion . I watched your vid about your take on No7 renew serum. Deffo going to give some of the skincare tips a whirl not sure how long the arum will last ? As I use 3 -5 pumps morn and eve! As I use on face and neck and Declatage area. Been a week so far using the no7 serum we shall see if I feel There’s benefits?! But would be good to use things that work out cheaper in the long run as it’s costly and k want consistency like you say or it’s not worth it in the long run.
I literally just applied the ordinary's latic acid and wasn't sure if I should/could also use my new purchase of argireline solution and matrixyl10. I decided not to chance it. Got into bed and started watching your video.... so informative!
I (45, moderately dry skin, break outs according to menstrual cycle) started to use the Argireline Serum around Christmas on my mimic wirinkles around the mouth and under the eyes twice a day. After about a month I couldn't see any differences. At that time I also watched your video on using it together with the Matrixyl. Since the delivery to the EU takes ages I could only begin Mid-February with the combination. Until then I had paused the Argireline. At the same time I also started the Resveratrol/Ferulic Acid serum. I experimented a bit with morning and evening routines. I also use Niacinamide in the morning and Retinol in the evening (on three evenings, on the fourth I exfoliate). Now I've concluded it may be better to use the antioxidants in the morning so they can help with sun exposure. Now, after three or four weeks I haven't noticed any impact so far. I can't say anything about plumpness or hydration because I use a brilliant holy grail night cream that also does this job. The fine line/wrinkle situation didn't change at all. The serum mixture - I mix them in my palm and then apply them to my whole face and neck - feels pleasant on my skin. I think I'll use the bottles up which will take until May/June. Then I'll decide if I'm going to continue.
@@barbarar5869 If you like. :-) I used the Argireline up about two weeks ago and am now using what's left of the Matrixyl on it's own for not to waste it. But I haven't noticed any difference at all. They didn't do any damage but I think I could have saved the money. I've bought the Just Peptides 10% Serum from Revox B77 to give peptides in general another try. Maybe other peptides will have some effects on my skin but Argireline and Matrixyl certainly don't. PS: Dr Shereene Idriss published a very interesting video on peptides the other week.
@@raganaregnbue6838 thanks for the update. The ordinary products are so affordable that I don't mind experimenting a bit and won't be too disappointed if they don't exactly work out. I will see if the combo will work for me and otherwise there is always botox 😂
