This is so exciting! The video quality is still much better than analog and it barely costs more than an analog tinywhoop. I love it and when I get some more money I'll be picking up a vtx combo to stick in a couple analog micros I still have left. I personally dont have much reason at this point to even mess with analog.

That’s pretty cool. It strikes a balance - some of the benefits of HD, and some of analog. I have beaten the crap out of my analog Mobula6s over their lifetime. But I have held off on going too far in with either HDzero or WS whoops because of durability concerns and cost. I was looking for a reason to get a mobula6 2024 and I think this will be my next buy.

I certainly wouldn't mind more single wire video options on digital systems. MIPI cables might do it better, but they only come in specific lengths, might not be in stock, and cost a lot more.

I was looking at buying the analog version but that's a rather small bump in price. The only real downside I see is that the analog version weighs 17.7 so we do have about 23% more weight on this version.

I'm truly partaged on this one, it's like 14% lighter than the og whoop light bundle and 17% cheaper, it's not an incredible economy for something that is not as good in term of quality and still much bigger and heavier than analog, but on the other way it's still one more option, if you have the goggles you can fly an analogish quad without bothering with the adaptor and the analog module. Not truly the development I hoped (more quality/inboard DVR/more range/real cheaper, pick one) but it still is interesting, feels a bit like a return to frost byte tho

I'm fairly sure most people break the ufl before they break the mipi. So having the antenna stick out above the top of the camera, where it's gonna get hit in nearly every single crash (and it's routed directly from that hole to the ufl) means this quad might not even be more resilient than a normal HDZ one. Also, that footage looks barely better than analog but without the colour warping etc. They may as well have just used an analog cam and just put an analog to digital converter & upscaler in the VTX... I think the Nano V3 is a bit too heavy for a 65mm, but the Nano Lite that comes with the Whoop Lite bundle is a pretty good middle zone. I'd have liked to see some full-screen comparisons of HDZ Eco vs Analog vs Nano Lite - a clip of each, but shown full-screen. It's really not possible to judge the video quality when it's just a little picture in the corner - think about it, on 1080p picture we have on YT, that block is probably getting less than 480p of it...

hey ryan i cant get my eco to connecto to my goggles any tips? is there a firmware update im supposed to do? there is no eco specific firmware as far as i can tell

Real Question How Deep an HDZero Goggle capable to build Lower Cost goggle with pupiliarry distance support , like i did in DigitalFPViD. It has tobe cheaper than emax hdzero. Wanna see ready stock for indonesia stock in not more than Rp1.000.000,- (challange).

Can ECO VTX use with other analog cameras?

Cool idea, but I'm confused. If the ECO is converting 480i30 to 240p60 then there would be a loss of resolution. I doubt it's deinterlacing the video on the VTX to give 480p30 since this would add one field of latency. Interestingly, I notice there is no mention of latency compared to the same cam on an analog VTX...i would expect it to be little bit worse.

What !!!! I could have digital fpv system for the price of a digit camera!!! ... I was milked for a year to buy unreliable Vtx to be told we had a better product for less money .... This is messed up.

I save my money and buy the analog version, for an hd system the quality is very bad. I'm disapointed by the eco camera.
