This was great! I just realized I do the book keeping for my shipping job. I go thru the bank statements every month and categorize transactions and create profit & loss summary. Wow we really do have the tools we need

Since you are not dealing with invoices (I'm assuming), does that mean that you are going by cash based accounting and not accrual? Do you ever use the accrual method? Am I stupid? lol

You can still deal with invoices and use cash basis. 70% of my clients are cash basis. You’re not stupid 😊

I've been having a potential client calling me for 2 months. All I know is how much his yearly revenue is. He doesn't have qbo. After 2 months of phone calls and emails he now wants to schedule a 15 minute phone call with his accountant. He wants a cost for bookkeeping but I'm not sure how do I know with no information. I hope it's not always this difficult.

I would just tell him that you typically charge $250 - $500 per month but it all depends on the size and complexity of his business.
