What do you say to convince a customer to pay you $400+ and not do there taxes and payroll. They would have to pay an accounting or another book keeper to take care of that, why should they have two people and potentially pay over $700 a month. I get the fact that they do pay you but how do you convince them, what do you say?
Most people use payroll companies like ADP. Also, a lot of tax prepares don't do bookkeeping because they are just one-man operations, they only do taxes.

I’m in Georgia just got two new clients and I am not sure if I can charge as much as you charge where you are what are your thoughts on that? I also still use your formula and it just might be that the formula worked out to be right at 200 a month so we’ll see. I just thought it was interesting and I’m looking forward to your thoughts.
Do a comprehensive fee study. You might want to consider the cost of living where you are but don't sell your services too cheap regardless of your experience. You are providing a valuable service. Even if you don't know everything yet, you are actually going to spend a lot of time educating yourself on lots of things so I say charge what you want and stand firm.

These day in the life videos are what made me decide this is what I want to do. I use to do bookkeeping for my father’s mechanic business when my kids were little. It was all by hand, old school pen and paper. I got burned out that way so I’m so interested to see how Quick Books would change things up for me.
