We had a delicious $8 Satay feast here by the riverfront in Kuantan, Malaysia.
The ladies who owned the sate shop were absolutely lovely so friendly.
They let me have a go at cooking the satay but I wasn't up for the job it's actually pretty difficult they have some skills.
Malaysian satay is some of the best in the world and this spot was really good.
We love Malaysian Street Food 🇲🇾

For unique satay you should visit Negeri Sembilan for Satay Tulang, meat skewers with soft bone. Taste much better. I am biased as I am from NS.

Try Kuala Klawang, Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan for unique Satay Tulang and traditional Minangkabau food, also visit the Adat Museum next go to nearby Titi for authentic Hakka Chinese food and Titi has WWII bloody history of mass massacre by the Japanese.

Hi..welcome... We locals use the skewer to poke into the rice cakes and dip them into the peanut sauce... same with the onion & cucumber cuttings.. if you are not familiar with the method, you could ask for spoons..or forks...😊 Enjoy..

Yeah Alicia worked it out. I also don't mind using my hand to eat the rice cakes we don't do cutlery haha

U use the satay skewer to poke the cucumber, rice and dip those in the sauce. No need to use fingers to dip in the sauce😁😁
